This is so brain dead, I really tried to stick thru it but just couldn't. If some dickhead was my fucking employee and touched me wrong, they'd be gone with a lawsuit on em. Even if lil guy can't do all that, the seme is stupid for expecting any form of respect from a kid he literally beat on their first meeting. Everything is non-consensual, when r authors gonna realise consent is sexy?
I agree with you but just to give you insight on the industry: this is all for the perverts. It’s to prevent crime. If they can get their rocks off to SA in a book, a movie, an anime, etc., then they are less likely to go out into the street to do it to people. Theres bars and clubs that also cater to those extreme fetishes where it’s “legal”. The issue is that there’s so many people out there with these extreme views and extreme fetishes that they dominate the consumer market in those countries so most authors will cater to them. In the western world, we don’t actually have these things in place to “control” their urges so our authors cater to consent and what we find attractive to see in media. The whole lack of lawsuits and lack of police involvement is also intentional. To provide a “safe space” for those with this extreme fetish to come “free from persecution”. I do hate that they don’t have it as a separate genre though. It shouldn’t be put on the same shelves as other books or at the very least should come with TW tags.
Hi! To give some examples, rape "porn", illegal vids or any kind of porn does NOT prevent irl rape :) Same with those childlike sex dolls where people argue "better a doll than a real child". People don't understand that this won't work, at least not most of the time, or for long. Actual rapists n predators are gonna try to commit the crime on a real person at some point. Many will get the urge for the real thing. Media like this isn't some form of "therapy" used for prevention. It's a threshold. Inspiration. Rape is mainly about CONTROL, about POWER. It's not about seeking merely pleasure for your sexual urges. You could say for example, that rape rates go slightly down in countries where prostitution is legalized. But when you know that 90-95% of those sex workers are being forced into it and a LOT of them started getting into the industry at 16 yo anyway, then what does that study even mean at the end,,, + wanted to add that those manhwas we're reading are targeted towards a female audience, and when we look at statistics of rape/sexual assault, nearly 99% are men. Even the perpetrators of male victims are STILL mostly other men. Thanks and some people here are lacking severe media literacy please just read something else bro and leave us alone.
My dude, I never said it is the cure of all crime. I said that in those countries (Japan and Korea) they have been experimenting for a long time and found that having this outlet available for those with twisted perversions and aggression has lessened crime. Especially crime against children. Japan and Korea are still two of the safest places for children to roam. The crime rate is not 0 of course BUT it’s still safer. Lots of other countries utilise this outlet method. That’s why we have rage rooms, aggressive sports, porn of many categories. It will never bring crime to a 0. But to those who recognise that this urge they have is dangerous and harmful to others, it allows them to safely express themselves and release any pent up stress without it blowing up in the form of a crime. And since you want to talk sex work, the sex workers in Japan (in legal above board businesses) are there willingly. Ofc the yakuza own some and those are shady but the sex industry has gotten better since they’ve had their business blasted online for all to see and the law has come down on them as a whole. Not once have I said it’s a perfect solution nor have I said it solves all crimes. I was giving insight as to why authors would use these themes in their work. It’s the whole Jekyll and Hyde theory (which was proven to have worked btw) that consuming media can help you live vicariously and therefore reduce stressors and urges. Same with violent video games. Agree or not, that’s what those countries are doing on a governmental level. Insight doesn’t mean I agree with how it works either. It’s just how it is. If you don’t like it, petition the government, not me.
Hey, so, there's literally no proven links between reading/viewing violent rape porn and that stopping someone from committing the crime. Hope this helps ur weird view. One can argue that it allows for a 'safe outlet', but it's literally not the case at all. I could say that studies with convicts have found nearly all of them to have porn habits, ergo watch/read porn ->become offender. There's little, if any solid evidence for an association between consuming violent porn and lower crime rates (if u wanna make a claim, back it up istg). Rape is almost never about pent up aggression or sexual frustration, it's about power and control.
Talking of sex work and how they 'are there willingly' is also fucking insane.
This is insane, dude should just step away bc nanjo is clearly gonna break up with that twink soon enough
