Anyway, the basis of omegaverse tends to be patriarchal, with alphas literally and biologically possessing omegas. So, the trope also often features rape and questionable consent between the leads.
When it comes to omegaverse, both men and women who identify as omegas are vulnerable to many forms of discrimination and gender-based violence. Given that I've read numerous stories in the Omegaverse, even I can't dispute that fact.
Just so you know, my first ever Omegaverse stories was from a western novel I read ten years ago. And it's surprisingly good ngl. But there's also some parts that I hate. Since many of these stories—BL, GL, straight, etc.—treat Omegas like trash and place them at the bottom of society, I must admit that I'm not particularly fond of Omegaverse. I am aware that there may be occasions when the Alpha MC, in particular, will treat the Omegas MC better. But well, the patriarchal-like system still goes on, right?
Hence, I just want to remind you. Writing abilities are more important in literary works than the type of pair (BL, GL, straight, etc.) that appears in the story. It's best not to read this if you find it offensive just because it's not BL. Why? It's not your cup of tea, dear. This lovely site has a ton of BL/GL Omegaverse stories. Just find the one you like. You won't ever getting tired of it since there'll be always new ones in this site.

I advise you to wait till it's finished before going over everything, both its positive and negative values. If you don't have the will, well... Simply read whatever appeals to you.
