I wish I knew why there is another manga entangled as two stories in one and just when it was getting good I heard it was dropped

Why does the ML always end up getting captured at some point in the story?
Well I'm questioning this too... At the beginning he was an extremly powerful, klever and badass ML, who literally can do anything... So what the hell hapened with him.... He just became... A weakling who need to be saved.....
