I really hope the author continues, even if they didn't win the contest. I could be wrong but I think we are getting something a little like Death Note where the MC becomes a villain we root for, even if she isnt necessarily in the right. I think that she was killed off because of a prophecy that the saintess would bring ruin so they killed her. (little did they know that killing her off is what starts it all)
I feel like everyone is missing the point, like I get Yuri and Blondie both had there past trauma or whatever and that sucks, it's not their fault... but that doesn't excuse their actions. MC didn't do anything wrong and their messy past doesnt pardon their treatment towards her.
Dont get me wrong, as a story I find it really enjoyable and characters are all interesting, but people acting like their past serves as a reasonable excuse for their problems now and it's not.
For example:
This is exaggerated, but if your past made you mentally unstable and so you become a serial killer... that doesnt serve as a pardon for the people you just killed...?
So basically, these dudes fucked up and they gotta deal with the consequences.
My memory is a little foggy but they said something about being consumed by your reflection if you go into the room and look in the mirror?? Idk, but I think Blondie is already consumed by his reflection, and with MC it was an unfinished job kinda? In some panels when MC is holding his feelings in, we see his normal face and also his reflection which is usually laughing or some creepy shit. With Blondie, we see a drastic personality change and odd fixation on MC. His reflection isnt usually so different from his physical self either. We see hints of him popping others like balloons and weird hand powers. The topic of the spooky room used to scare the shit out of him and now he seems to find it even pleasing. He keeps trying to get MC to enter so maybe there is a rule that you must enter the room on your own accord to become your reflection?? And it's probably more than simply entering the room, most likely there are many other rules. Anywho, Its probably that Blondie seeks to bring MC to what ima call "the dark side" along with him.
MC has entered the room when he was young. They actually entered together both the seme and the uke.
Yeah, thats why I think there is more to it than simply entering the room. I do think that the room is very relevant to them being consumed by their reflections, but just entering the room wont exactly do it.
