I wasn't really enjoying this manga anymore. The revenge was getting repetitive, the lack of any actual challenge was getting boring, and the revenge against the women seemed to be a personification of the authors weird fetishes or smth but the new arc seems like it'll be interesting so I'll stick around for a bit longer.
Yin Mei is honestly 10/10. Gu Chang-Ge never had to hide his personality from her or turn her into a slave. They really are just one of the same mind. Did he even try that hard to manipulate her? She just wants to do awful things with him.
I think she has an insect or something in her(not sure) in one chapter he give a monthly pill or so.
He gave her something at first that if she didn’t take a pill he provided once a month her heart would explode I can’t really explain it but after she was about to take that hit from him with the whole ye ling thing he gave her the antidote since he trusted her now even though she had been loyal since the white tiger incident he had to be sure since she was one of the people trying to kill him for the heir position in the beginning
I agree she’s a good one, BUT I really like how his main girl finally came around and flip on her bad girl switch! This series actually has very little romance or intimacy, yet he still has a harem of women ready to wreck shit for him!!
I was excited when it first began and Gong-ja and Heretic Inquisitor assumed the roles of different characters but it fell flat. Heretic Inquisitor lost alot of purpose in the arc when this would have been a great chance to explore his character more. Alot of the concepts in this arc with the butler and the tower administrators was pretty confusing and Laviel and Gong-ja's romance was rushed AF.
I'm not denying their bond or chemistry but I think this arc could have been executed better. And it would have been better placed towards the end of the Manhwa like a grand finale. It was too soon for all this.
That would’ve applied to other Manhwa but not this one. The writer has amazing ideas since each arc gets more creative and complex. Our MC has died over 4 thousand times by committing suicide, imagine his mental health. I’m glad that this arc helped him grow mentally and emotionally. He was even able to fall in love in world were he never dies. This arc has shaped him to be able to handle all that’s going to be thrown to him without losing himself.
i agree as well, i think this arc also grounds the MC. Prior he could die at anytime without any cost, however this time he needs to be more careful with dying as Raviel will die with him
I hadn't thought of this perspective. I do see your point but I still think the arc was a little rushed and forced, at least in the Manhwa adaptation.
Personally I think that course would make this arc less enjoyable. Many action manhwa put aside the romance until the very end and eventually it feels forced, unnecessary or in the way, just not properly developed. This way we will see them growing togheter, giving him happiness now will surely be a contrast to what's about to come. Unlike other mc he started alone didn't have anything to protect, now he has more responsibilities. That's what I think about putting it at the end. Was it poorly executed? Idk, not an expert but I could feel myself going with the flow while reading, and the time they spent togheter was longer than what we read considering the amount of times he traveled back.
I was about to start roasting y'all for thirsting over these ants but then I remembered Meruem and the Chimera Ant arch(￣∇￣")
It's so refreshing to see characters with actual personalities. Usually, in a story like this Irene's mom, dad, sister, and classmates would have been cannon fodder characters that just hate him for no reason. This is a nice change of pace and it also leaves room for the development of all characters not just Irene. Also, they changed homie's name like 3 times already. Just pick one(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
I hope Prince Chen and the MC become friends. The MC has alot of subordinates that revel him but there's no one really that has that romance dynamic with him.
