I’ve read this whole comic on lezhin and it’s not what I expected. Still a cute enough story but it literally is “sexless” like the title lol. It ends abruptly at 31 ch tho.

Hey Hyuuu, I wanted to give you a response :) I read all the chapters on Lezhin (yep, I paid for it). I saw this story as portraying situations people indeed face in real life. I won't spoil it for you or anyone reading my comment, but it demonstrates that everyone takes their own pace in life, with everything we do. We can't always expect to get what we want. We can work at something, and still, the result sometimes isn't how we want it. Or, in fact, things can slowly start to get better once we keep some distance and then we can try again. When I spoke with the author (you can view it on Twitter if you're curious), we talked about fate. AM said they think, "...it depends on the result and in which way the person accept his/her life." AM shared that they're exploring fate in <Playtime with Hakdo> too. So overall, I think it depends on what the readers are expecting too. This story had a healthy approach to solving a problem, and it showed me how people are affected and how circumstances can truly shape life. But overall, I felt hopeful when I reached the end. :)

Nah I’m not trying to get spoiled lol. Ya fate is a part of things but readers in general want to escape reality. Not be dragged down by it and like I said before sexless is super niche. Playtime with Hakdo still incorporated real life elements of human unsureness and bisexualness , love that, but still gives them a chance to develop and be together. I’m glad you got so excited by the author not many people go as far. It’s neat to see the authors prospective behind it but I prefer to sit back and watch it unfold and not be spoiled on the story. And as usual the endings a lot of times have to be rushed on these because of editors and platforms not allowing the authors to flow on their timeline. So I felt sexless had a rushed ending but overall did tackle real life issues, I felt the story was flat and one from someone new to webcomics/manga and came from a novel background. But I don’t regret paying for and reading all the ch on lezhin myself either even tho it wasn’t a story I loved. (▰˘◡˘▰)
If anyone was wondering this author has dropped the series. It won’t continue. They’re on tapas but I think they’ve changed their bane recently. They seem to be going through a lot of personal issues :/
I actually met and talked to the artist at AX2019, and it didnt sound like he planned on cutting it off though...? He had back surgery which is why he's been unable to work on it, so he sounded uncertain when or if he would continue, but he did sound like he wanted to continue it eventually, and he was selling Noisome merch.
Yes he went through a rough serious but I’m pretty certain he has no plans to continue this. If you met him then don’t you follow him on insta?
