I mean come on he has to apologise to Nemu because he fell asleep after he has 2 jobs because he has to support himself? And where is the trust? Even if Ruka was lusting after him where is the trust in Maya? Maya has to feel guilty because he works overtime now? So Nemu wants to stay with his parents, go to Uni, teach as a part time job and Maya has to do nothing, live with his dad's money and when Nemu has a bit of an opening Maya must run there and be available. You are too small Nemu. Laying guilds on him for simply having a hard and fulfill ing job.

i dont think that nemu was mad because he fell asleep, or because he was too busy or anything, i think it was just all the bottled up things that he chose to not say to maya when it was still small worries that got to him. and that small thing just triggered something in him. and its not like nemu doesnt have any reason to be wary of ruka, the dude blatantly antagonized him that one chapter (but my memories all blurry coz its been a while and i dont wanna reread this painful arc just yet). but i do get your point on how maya matured. but nemu did too although they both still need to mature on other departments,, like how they can communicate better haha.

Ruka said that he liked him but not for love/sex. I believe he meant as business partners. Two people creating something great, cause he see Maya as someone like him but also physical strong and young

Not saying your interpretation is wrong... but from my experience - when one has an opponent particularly one vying for the one you love, and they know about you, they will say and do things to make you doubt - yourself, your partner, your relationship.

If Ruka ONLY liked Maya as a business partner, then why go all the way to plant doubts about Nemu and Maya's relationship. Him saying to Nemu that "One day your love will become air." and that "Air can become stale.", is in way planting a seed to separate the two ~ he basically meant that eventually both would break up. If Ruka really only liked Maya as a business partner, then why ruin a relationship? Ruka, in my opinion, is just saying he likes Maya as a business partner. Perhaps he could be jealous of the relationship Nemu has with Maya.

It seems more like he wants Maya to be a business partner to get closer to him. Ruka knows their (Maya and Nemu's) relationship yet does and say things that even a good friend would never do.

he did say that, but in a very bitchy way towards nemu. he was kind of implying how nemu and mayas relationship would sooner or later be gone but their partnership (ruka and maya) would last long or something along those lines. i mean, if he really did not mean anything bad about it he could have just told nemu that they were just business partners nothing more nothing less, that wouldve eased his doubt or jealousy, but he just gotta add the part where he says that their love would someday go stale or something. he probably has a point when he said that, but that doesnt give him any right to make nemu feel insecure about his relationship with maya, he was kind of manipulating nemu into thinking that way.
i think the reason why he wants nemu out of the picture was because he believed that maya would perform better with his job and achieve more if he is not in a relationship because he believes love to be a hindrance or unnecessary or something idk.
but that was just how i see it,... but i do get your point ruka probably thinks he is doing whats best for maya coz he sees all his potential but he forgot to think that business is business and love is love... and he as mayas business partner shouldnt meddle with his personal relationships but thats what he just did and thats why people hate him. (and thats why they need to clear this shit up already hahaha)

(*excuse me for butting in) he is probably subconsciously in love with maya he's just not aware of it yet, but we dont know much about his character to actually confirm. but i feel like the author implies it a little but just a little. i dont think its actually love what he feels, but just basic attraction because maya is everything he wants to be and more.

I just think that Maya sacrifices a lot (his time, his relationship with his father, his money, everything) for Nemu, and also trusts him. Nemu on the other hand has always doubts, is insecure, hides Maya from his family (his mother did not know that they were still friends-he could say to his mother that they are still friends after all this time). Where is his character development apart from becoming a young male version of his mom? (a strict prude that does not trust anyone)

Remember, Maya's father cut off his financial support when he found out about Maya and Nemu's relationship. His father felt he had been too lenient (and he suspected Nemu was being forced, which Nemu denied) ~ he gave Maya a choice, break up or he'd revoke his credit card and allowance. Maya chose to be with Nemu and got kicked out of the house, ending up with rooming with Naoya.

Perhaps it was his guilt for treating Nemu badly in the beginning. He realised later that Nemu's first time with him was rape. But eventually they did fall in love.

Nemu did offer to live together and share rent, however Maya didn't want to burden him - since Nemu would need to take up more work hours teaching in cram school. Maya understands Nemu's love for his mom (and mom's love for Nemu). Strict prude? More like being overprotective ~ can you blame a parent wanting her child to succeed and be kept away from harm that would cause them pain? And Maya understands this.

Yes, Nemu still has insecurities ~ so does everyone else. Maya is his first boyfriend, who has had relationships in the past. He has changed to the point where he acknowledges his feelings, reacting when he is upset ~ but tries to take Maya into consideration (he said it was okay for Maya to be friends with Ruka), some would have insisted otherwise or just kept mum on the whole issue. Nemu's development is slow, but it is there ~ specially if you look back on how he was early on.

Haha I was using your second post to reply and the page refreshed and I lost everything. Anyway I was saying (writing) that Nemu's insecurities up to now are shown to be related with the fact that Maya is handsome, popular and sociable while he is not. Maya stated many times with both action and words that he likes Nemu just the way he is and he does not wish for him to change, but Nemu always question himself and believes that he is boring, which is I believe the major reason for their last fight. As you said Maya wanted to be sincere about his relationship with Nemu to his father, and he could even pretend to break up and keep his financial ease but he didn't. I am not saying that Nemu has to do the same, not all families are the same but he could at least present Maya as a close friend. And since we are talking about this if things were reversed and his mother found out and demand from Nemu to separate what would you think he would do? I think based to facts up to now he would separate. And sorry I do not think the mother is such a great parent. She has not idea about her son, she pressed him for his grades up to a breaking point and did not communicate with him at all. And it is not healthy to have an opinion and impose it on a 19year old's clothes. The prude part is for the "when I am drunk I am honest and ok but when I am sober no no you pervert shame on you"

I get where you're coming from... more likely it's a (parental) cultural thing. Asian culture tend to, specially Japan, put so much weight on achievements - education, career, etc. Nemu's mom already knows Maya is his friend. Akira did step in to "thank" Nemu for being a good influence on Maya in the presence of his mother. She even saw Maya when he had his hair done black, took note and accepted him as Nemu's friend.

Yes, I have to agree with you on the part about if it was Nemu's mom who found out first. It is highly probable they would be forced to break up. But since that's not how it went in the story, there's a chance that Nemu will become strong enough to stand up regarding his relationship with Maya. Mayhaps these events will make him stronger - strong enough to come out to his mom. He already knows at this point that it hurts when they are separated, painful when a wall (problem) comes between them.

Indeed and that's why Nirasawa [Bi no Kyoujin], Shingo [Kuroneko Kareshi], Chief [Ren'ai Nenrei] are the best. Also special mentions to Tanihara [Himegoto Asobi], Tsugumi [Megumi and Tsugumi] and some others that I cannot recall right now and I respect as characters

Yeah, those uke's are the best - my fave among those mentioned is Nirasawa - so badass even his seme is awed sometimes. Currently waiting for update on "Megumi and Tsugumi" (LOL).

But you really can't compare those uke's with Nemu... I mean, I doubt Maya would have fallen for him if he had a personality like those. I really look forward on Nemu becoming more mature and strong - and I think he can, since he thinks of his seme so much.
