There may be a lot of females in the series but he hasn't let any that close. He's more interested in growing his power and advancing things in his favor as well as learn what the system has in store for them including the invading realms that are dropping folks from the world he once lived in on the earth. I'm leaning more towards the idea of it being a lot for fan service with a lot of the female characters rather then harem just because they don't stick around for long and the romance is one sided.
I've read a lot of harems so I can understand when it's just a fan service type rather then a legit harem be it regular or reverse.
