I used to hate ruve too but now that I understand that the jerk ruve and the present ruve are from different timeline, I shouldn't just think of the jerk ruve but appreciated that present ruve is doing a good job and hasn't done anything wrong. But still, I hope the author will give us jerk ruve backstory as to why he did that. But anyway way to go present ruve.
he was manipulated by Duke Zeke. Also he didn't really kill her father he lied to her hoping that she would use that to escape the palace. He wanted to set her free because he saw that she was suffering. When she stabbed him he wanted to exile her but Duke Zeke made sure that she was executed. Also he is the reason why she lost her child. He made the maids poison her and see to it that she couldn't have anymore kids. Long story short Duke Dick was the main culprit but Tia didn't know.

Personally, I cannot forgive Ruve for what he did to Tia, no matter how much he was manipulated, a person should NEVER do such a disgusting thing to another. Even if the timeline differs, Ruve still would have done that and should still be accountable for such actions. I want Carsein to be the ML, he is so perfect compared to the latter choices. Plus, Tia herself is becoming weaker in terms of an independant FL which sucks.

Carsein IS OBVIOUSLY the BEST choice HOWEVER he doesn't have plot armor so he will always be second lead. Also everything that has been done is due to Duke Zeke, Ruve MIGHT HAVE been the emperor but he had NO POWER whatsoever. The aristocrats had all the power. He was manipulated and Tia's cold personality did not help the situation. She did not have to do Julien's job but SHE CHOSE to. Ruve wanted to let Tia go and be free because he saw that she was suffering but Zeke wouldn't let that happen and SHE chose to clean up after Julien. He never killed her father he had only told her that in hopes that she would CHOSE to leave but she didn't. Also don't get it twisted I'm a die hard Carsein fan however I just can't stand people judging Ruve when they haven't read the light novel. The stupid manga cut sooo many things you guys have no idea just how deep Zeke influence was. Also Ruve didn't even love Julien, Tia just assumed he did. Albeit he was infatuated with Julien because she was open with her emotions and kind "unlike" Tia but that turned old real quick.
Ruve's cold or evil treatment towards Tia was just so he could get her out of the palace to be free. He wanted her to choose to leave but she didn't. Then she got executed when all he really wanted to do was get her exiled not killed. He didn't even know she was being poison to lose the baby. Zeke told him that she took something to abort the baby. He was grieving his child and i think he went to see her but she was asleep or was it he never went to see her because he was grieving the child idk it's been a while since I read it. But yeah Ruve isn't as evil as Tia and the manga are trying to turn him out to be.
This story is really grea….no I mean amazing! There's still a lot of backstory that hasn't unravel regarding Ebony's past and for what I know I bet it's going to be an awesome backstory. Can't wait for it!! Appreciated the author's effort in creating this piece of art.
