The novel was pretty dark for me. I was close to dropping it because i always feel so bad for her. I stuck around because the characterization is done really well and the plot is pretty good. Lighter scenes are coming but not LOL.

So I don't know much, but from what I read, when they're eyes met they saw each others past. He saw that she died, which is why he freaked out. (The spirit brought her back to life which is why he lost so much of his power). She felt and saw all of his sadness and saw how he lived before. He was abandoned and treated cruelly. He really does have diamond eyes but they don't do anything or can't do much. He found (idk how) the blue eyes and can use their magic because of his diamond ones?
