Because the industry is cuthroat and ruthless. Many webtoon authors are overworked to death, with lower pay than they should have gotten.
Making a chapter once a week is brutal. Every weekly mangakas and webtoon authors know this; hence their inevitable poor health. It's also unavoidable since publishers demand this performance.
So, it always make me baffled how many readers are just ignorant and being so impatient with their demand on new chapters. Basically they want the creators to die just for faster chapters, is that it?
At least, some understand, or understanding, like yourself.
Hope many authors have stable and better health.
Another example of this is the author of "How to Protect the Heroine’s Older Brother" having to take a break indefinitely due to their boss pushing them to the point of having a miscarriage.
I just read some info about her. My god, the miscarriage. How could they do that to her!? Those publishers are inhumane. This kind of max profit oriented companies never consider their employee as people with life and feelings. I hope some of them go to ruin.

Well.... this story is somewhat like dora the explorer! HAHA after getting some hardship, it will be peacefull for only 1 page and then getting in trouble again but ofc there will be a way. By some miracle everything they need and think off will be presented at them. I fell like xuan xiao is the peta in dora haha
Well, pretty good stories, typical chinese manhwa, the plot is quite fast but I think i will keep reading this since Im quite curious about what will happen haha
I think this will turn out different from the novel though. You have to remember that the moment the father realized that kiera was not the one that awaken the power of the spirit, his face looked shocked and sad (like feeling betrayed) and the moment kiera came to the last, the father dream about the whole situations when kiera was beheaded and he said that he felt really pained and sad (like his heart shredded to pieces) so here are my thought:
I think the father really tought that kiera failed to awaken but he still wants to save her (kiera is his real daughter bcs later when she visit her grandmother, it was revealed that her ancestor once had two daughter and one awaken altought the older one didn't. It turns out that the older one also has the power when the younger one showed them - she can also see the fairy and just like the begining chapter when kiera can see the fairy). So he asked the magician to turn back time and the father wants kiera to realized her future so that she can change her future thats why kiera was the one with the memory. I think the father actually loves her daughter but feels awkward with her because of the father was growing up the same so he don't know what to do. Cosette acts as a friendly and cheerful that approach the father first but it doesn't necessarily means that he loves her. But after coming back to the past, kiera realized that what she did was foolish so she stopped doing that and thats when the father realized that she actually loves her - and this is what is different from the past (his father realized his love too late)
Well this is just a hypothesis ofc but its true that the manhwa is not always turn out the same as the novel like suddenly i become a princess also has a plot different from the novel rigth haha

So he allowed her to be beheaded? Nah. He deserves everything he's getting. At least in Father, I don't want to get married the dad clearly didn't want his daughter to die. The FL's father in that story is still getting what he deserves though because you don't basically ignore your daughter your whole life then expect to have a normal relationship with her.
Yup they are half sisters but in the novel it turns out that cosette already died and this one is a demon that cosette mother's contracted to take revenge
