Oh yes. I love how this webtoon plays with this trope of the bland heroine who’s only grace is being beautiful and educated. But for some reason has every guy fall in love with her without doing anything. This is an overused trope in many shojo leaning mangas and webtoons. So this is much more interesting to see the guys here not fall over themselves to win the heroine’s favor. And I would argue that due to being in the presence of Latte’s quirky and engaging personality, the heroine’s personality stands out as being even more dull. And her not as special. SPOILER............................................................................................................................................It’s also interesting to see a “perfect” heroine, who never actively vied for the male leads affection and attention (as it was always freely given), become angry and vindictive against another person for “stealing” this attention away.

I know right! After I read a good BL I am always awestruck on how there was no useless drama. I swear I read one BL where the two boys were an adorable couple but then one starts cheating on him with this random person becoming sex friends with him and to make it even worse the.p boyfriend who cheated falls IN LOVE with the sex friend so the two cute adorable boys who were boyfriends previously can never be together again (╬￣皿￣)凸 UGH I hate drama

I know right!!!! You start reading a BL manga and you got that feeling that it’s gonna be a good one and the BAM the drama starts over stupid little things and your just thinking “what the hell is going on here?” And the manga is ruined ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ it’s so annoying like I like drama that happens because it make s the couple stronger and it’s always so heartwarming to see them get back together, but if it’s stupid drama the whole effect is ruined

I think editors are to blame for this. The mangaka just try to write a compelling, welldrawn story but then editors force them to drag the plot thin, to add unnecessary characters and to add tropes that sell well with focus tested audiences.

By the end, the mangaka are tired and their story is unrecognizable. Some don't even finish the story after that, they just move on to make whatever sells because they're so tired and dejected.

Some of my favourite stories were ruined by publisher/editor meddling but it's unfair how the writers get all the blame, it makes me sad for them.

Oooooohhhhh! I never thought of it that way but that makes so much sense now!!! Ahhhhh if only those stupid editors could let the writers do what they want I feel like everything would be so much better! So many of my favorite mangas have been dropped and now that you mentioned this I can now understand why they were dropped (

I will TOTALLY spread this info around!!!! This isn’t something that should be ignored ┑(￣Д ￣)┍ every creator has the right to make the story that they dreamed of making. It should be absolutely illegal for anyone to get in the way! Creators make these stories because the want to share their dreams and thoughts with the people you will respect their work for what the do and who love the masterpieces they make. Editors are the ones who are supposed to cheer the creators on and to help them get new ideas and make their stories the best they can be so that the creator can have a story that they are proud of. The fact that the editors are taking their power for granted is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE no matter how you look at it.
