I've never seen such brazen plot issues before... in ANY published work. I am shocked this made it to the publication stage and is being treated as a serious work, much less getting recommended by a popular author.
I was wondering if it might be a translation problem, but no - there are whole scenes that have essentially been repeated or rendered moot. For example, in one of the chapters his client tells him that her sister's husband died. Then in the next chapter, the sister comes in and says the same thing, and he's surprised for some reason, as if he didn't already learn this information? This is just one example of WAY too many, a lot of which are far worse. The plot issues are extremely egregious and are making this a very difficult read for me.
Has anyone else noticed this as well or is it just me and @your nanny?

Don't actually care about the story or the characters (because the MC is a bad person and I know he isn't gonna do shit to save anyone). It's all pure foreplay. I just need him to be eaten ASAP ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

RIGHT?? Most chapters create a problem and then solve it at the same chapter, but sometimes, like chap 9, they just do a random character appears + slow build up, take a ton to address the problem, but, when they do it, it is so quick it's anticlimactic and they keep on being "vague" plot wise while also not, like, it started with the allusion that he is some supernatural/above being, but now he's just being referred as a devil for simplicity, and that takes a lot of suspense for me...

OKAY I'M SO GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED. Reading this has been genuinely throwing me off, and I wasn't sure why no one else was pointing out these inconsistencies. I'm sorry but if I had to choose between losing my child versus losing my child but also having his body get taken over by an alien and then having to take care of said alien, which is walking around with my child's face, I would have to choose the former.
