Much later he does and he is beyond mad, like he is calm is scary becouse he is thinking all he can do. Like he is faced with the abuse, says ok I understand and when the father turns around he slams a chair on him with all his force and continues until there's only splinters, but he does all this without moving a muscle of his face.
