I feel like it would be better if the original Sera saw the wrongness of her own actions and tried to fix it, patching things up on her own terms. She did shit, whether by emotional outburst or not, and her stepbrother has every right to be mad at her; her fiance, while unnecessarily cruel and cold, has always been logical(even if that makes him a bad person), and I want to see the actual Sera break the engagement off with him and take note of her emotional outburst see the actual Sera realize she isn't her father's child and emotionally toggle through it.
Just because she is hurt doesn't suddenly make her OK; it makes her an emotional villain, whether influenced or otherwise. I want to see og Sera's regret and make and actually learn to run things dealing with the female lead when she realized she wasn't just fucking crazy and she was in fact being antagonized. I want to see Sera deal with her own consequences, and I get it. Our girl who's in Sera's body is not prone to anything but the surface level,' Oh no, I affect them like that?' Regrets when, even then, she doesn't have to feel that way.
Everything would have FAR more emotional impact if this wasn't a reincarnation plot, like if Sera died and went back in time, or if she truly realized or felt that she fucked by hitting her stepbrother in the head with a wine bottle, or pulling a knife out in an argument, or threatening the people she works with like shit, or a build-up of everything, and if not by a reaction to noticing her violence she could change by feeling like she truly is alone when her fiance neglected her feelings for titles and images. She only has ever been truly vulnerable around her fiance.
Please, just please, this gives off the vibes of not having to feel bad for nobody else but the MC because she's literally not the body owner, so you are forced to root for her as she ignores everything emotionally impacting (not that I blame her, girlie was thrown into this mess, she's doing as she should, I just wish she wasn't thrown into this mess)
Spoiler
There's actually supernatural things going on in the story from what I remember. The purple hair girl did some black magic so sera would go crazy or sum shit. Even in step brother's flashback, you can see that she didn't had a problem with him first. But then she suddenly turned 'evil'. Even the accidents that keep happening to sera is because of the black magic she put on sera. That's how I remember the spoiler, I'm not 100% sure.
Supernatural is so odd for the story but also make some sense but I feel like that is throwing around the blame and given the emotions they showed of Sera in flashbacks and the build up it just wouldn't make sense. I think I rather have her trick/manipulated than having black magic being an excuse, even some kind of mental disorder or pill or some shit would have made it better.
literal magic and mind control making characters do it in stories like this is a cheap trick that's usually written bad and used to avoid every and all consequences while pining it on one singular person. Either way the actual Sera realizing and overcoming it would have made that excuse 1000% good plot line, since she would literally be fighting through it as you read.
But it's a possibly false spoiler so I see how it turns out even if I'm a bit more turned off from the story now.
i feel like that would be way too predictable honestly if it were just her going back into the past. to me at least i feel like they’ve already been hinting at this supernatural plot line and i think they are doing it well so far. it’s just enough to know that other powers are at play but it’s not super in ur face it just feels like everything is slightly off. plus considering the MC looked exactly like sera before “waking up” as her makes me question that maybe this supposed black magic that was casted on her led her to her being trapped into her own mind? idk i think so far it’s interesting and not super stereotypical. plus how does supernatural not make sense to this story when the premise of it is inherently supernatural lol
About looking the same..
Spoiler
Sera and mc(jiah) are twins. She wasn't watching a drama about sera's life. She was in coma and saw her twin's life in drama form, while she was in some sort.of spiritual domain. The director, is looking for jiah. And their biological father is director's brother, who passed away.
The villain of the story is the exorcist who hates the director and the purple hair who's his disciple
Well, I understand that I wasn't really thinking about the predictability just the impact of each part if done right. And sometimes predictability is good as long as it's unique and executed correctly. But that's just me. and I do think the supernatural aspect is hinted at, and the story is definitely interesting; I'm not gonna deny that.
Also, I never said supernatural didn't fully make sense. I said supernatural control of the initial Sera didn't make that much sense to me. It makes sense that something with her terrible bad luck is supernatural, and that's actually executed and shown right. And I'm not talking about the actual body swap part of it not making sense.
I just feel like changing who the character is in the body makes me detached from the plot, and mind control is just messy in general. But it's just a preference, I guess, and the whatnot of how the already plot is shown. And I could just be tripping because I was turned off by one aspect.
Denji, my boy, my brother, kill all of them and leave nothing, ╥﹏╥ all the demons in your vicinity gotta go, devil hunter gotta go, the whole church of chainsaw man gotta go, rage in your normal form and go ballistic your not Guts your not built for this my boy, they took Nayuta it doesn't matter no more.
Burn the entire verse with no survivors. The world needs to regenerate. Bro, I just couldn't finish this. It was grossly interesting, with my ass skipping through shit to see everyone die.
I made it to chapter 20, which is a feat in itself. They have every fucked up anime trope that makes people hate it; pedophilia (clear mentions and heavy themes), incest between the main characters, beastility (bro died, but it was mentioned deathly clearly), and rape, it's weird, it's probably more but I don't want to read through it anymore.
Maybe it's a deeper, darker meaning to this, so to everyone on their own. Maybe the manga artist/author wanted to give an introspective to something, but for someone to make and draw this, they can't be normal. I read that far so my ass can't judge. (I'm judging and I'm judging myself too.)
not reallyyy incest since judah is NOT luna emotional incest tho? quite possible. still after going thru all what judah and agni experienced its understandable like they are both crazy. this entire manga is crazy every character is crazy fat chance the author too and thats why this manga was a solid 100/10 crazy good
Am I the lost one here?
I saw the brothers once, maybe twice in the first chapter, and didn't see them again for fifteen entire chapters, not even at the ball. So I skipped to 21 to be sure, and I saw the little brother who doesn't look like he aged since she was born.
I know she's the mc but why show that she has a bunch of brothers and never shows them interacting with her between the ages of 1-5? They even found her adorable, so I'd assume at least one of the four would make an effort.
Or did I skip something? (skipped four chapters in frustration) The momma and the daddy AND the knight act like she's their only child. I'm assuming the mother had all the children and giving her character wouldn't she introduce them to their new born sister?
This relationship peeves me for so many reasons, it could be the other way around and id still be peeved.
