Hey hey, so I want to join a scanalation group, but I know some want experienced typsetter, cleaners, and etc. But I haven't done any of such before so I'm basically a full novice. Are there any groups willing to take in beginner typsetters, cleaners, prooreaders, etc???
Hi y'all! So I said scanalation group but if that isn't the correct name for the groups that work on the different manga/manwha/manhua then sorry lol. I haven't done typesetting or cleaning before, but I'm wondering if there are any groups here willing to bring in a novice willing to learn to how to do it. I currently have Photoshop but never quite used it during my photography class. (I'm currently in college btw) I only really used Lightroom for my assignments;however, I do know some basics of Ps. I have looked at videos of typsetting & cleaning so I do know some of the stuff I can expect. Currently, I'm also learning Korean, but I'm still not quite fluent yet to translate anything (only basic types of sentences). I can read, but not quite understand everything. I've taken two semesters of Korean in college. My first language is English so if you would also like a proofreader or someone who can help the translators make the English translations make more sense/flow better, I can also do that.

Hi hi! When you mean "current ones", do you mean manga I'm currently reading? If that's what u mean, I've pretty much been reading whatever good BL manga or manwha ive been seeing on the home page lol. I read a lot of genres of manga tbh. Lately it has only been BL tho. I very rarely look towards shoujo, tho I was reading a few about a few weeks ago. If not BL I go for yuri, horror, shounen, ecchi, etc stuff like that. Whatever interests me.
And yes, I literally just made a discord for this purpose lol

Hello, just wondering if anyone needs any English proofreaders and typesetters for any manga/manhwa/comics/webtoons, etc. I've tried to volunteer/apply for English proofreading to two different scanalation groups but was never contacted back. I've never done either before so is anyone willing to take in a newbie?

Honestly just click into a random manga on here and look for the credits pages. They usually have links to the groups discord
