She's not ugly, I understand judging everyone ugly if you dislike them, it's a very mediocre thing to do, but to say that such an average and conventionally attractive girl is ugly would only be an insult to yourself. ( ̄∇ ̄")

Lol its not that deep, I read the novel so I was kinda curious what was she looks like, and I'm just glad how it turned out. And just how ugly is a drawing? No matter how ugly they drew one, they are still nice to look at

Isn’t the novel the one that decides what she looks like? The novel never said she was ugly. I credit the artist for getting this one right. She’s supposed to look innocent and harmless but she’s not beautiful or good looking. She’s probably just supposed to be average but all I remember is she’s supposed to look innocent.

I don't know, I always picture them as they draw in the manhwa, I couldn't really picture about someone appearance from words. And again, yes, I'm just glad she's not beautiful like that one in remarried empress. I don't know about you but I don't find beautiful antagonists pleasant. Just like Oscar, I can curse him freely because of his appearance match with his personality. And that was what's all my comment about.

For me it doesn’t matter if an antagonist is good looking or not. The most important thing to me is portraying the veracity of the work from the source material. Oscar is not supposed to be unattractive. Ines says herself he’s good looking and it’s also part of her character not to date an ugly man.
I find it extremely unprofessional when an artist uses their own personal opinion to portray a character contrary to the source material. It’s not the artist’s character. The characters belong to the author. I have no problem that Rezef, Rashta, Cesare, and other antagonists are good looking, handsome or beautiful. It doesn’t stop me from seeing them as rotten people especially when in reality even serial killers can be handsome and charismatic.

Okay, everyone's different, and we have each other believe. I just don't want the antagonist to be more beautiful than the main character. It'd create unnecessary simp to the antagonist, praising them and all. Like they don't do the worst possibility of people could do. But again, it's their choices so
Yo, she's not uglyyyy maybe her personality is. Anyways, she's quite pretty for an antagonist actually but no one beats Iñes when it comes to beauty(in this manhwa).

I don’t find her ugly either. Yes, no one beats Ines in terms of beauty in the manhwa but even that is the artist’s bias. Ines says in the novel that there are more beautiful women than her in Mendoza. She says this objectively. However, if you look at the art, the artist draw all women Ines’s age as plain. She clearly couldn’t get away with it for Maria because the novel distinctly states Maria is beautiful. Other than Maria, the artist draw all women Ines’s age as unattractive.
The biggest proof of the artist’s bias is that Carcel is the only character in the novel whose looks are always praised as the most handsome man in the world. Even on the last pages of the side story, Carcel is told by a 3-year-old child that he’s handsome. Ines was also present in the scene but none of the children told her she’s beautiful. Although Ines is beautiful, she’s known more for her voluptuous figure. So her looks weren’t really the most renowned thing about her because there were other beautiful women. The artist however changed this for the manhwa and draws Ines consistently beautiful and draws Carcel with hit or miss when his exceptionally handsome looks is supposed to be an integral part of his character.

Yep, main character privileges. The artist should have been fair like how the artist in "Into The Light Once Again" drew the characters fairly.
Let's be real. She would've been a cute side character if she wasn't an antagonist( ̄へ ̄)I hate her so i don't wanna praise her. Oh well Nelcy
That's right, ain't no way i'd call her pretty with that personality, whatever people says and yes she's visually not ugly but well in my eyes she's ugly
It’s the same way I feel about Jacob from Marriage of Convenience or Cesare from Husband on My Side. They’re both drawn beautifully but it doesn’t really bother me if that’s how they’re supposed to look from the source material. However, all I see are men I dislike. Their beautiful drawing doesn’t phase me one bit.
But there is proof that they do use bias on the drawings in this manhwa. They actually admitted it in an interview that was published featuring the storyteller and the artist. The storyteller admitted she asked the artist to draw Raul more handsome and the artist indeed did it.
I'm so glad that Alicia is ugly lol

Her personality reaaaallly sucks, Iñes knows like about 30% of Alicia's evil side

Well, as long as the plot is good. No shit about the artstyle
*no shit about how the artist draw the characters from their personal preference

I do not read this story but whatever you are saying gotta be true . I will stand with my honey ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
LMAOO
I should've said it like, I'm glad she's uglier than ines, then people wouldn't be so pressed about it
Highschool behaviour.
