Unluckily Lucky
I dropped it a while ago but decided to come back and I'm glad I did... I didn't expect for it to turn out the way it did.
Hart is a guy with an immense amount of luck, whereas Jasper is the opposite. The hold hands in order to balance out their luck. When reading this, I found it was peculiar that Hart hated being lucky so much. Tho obviously it would get annoying with people praising you for something you didn't do. But I had no idea the reason was so dark... Jasper went through so much whilst being as unlucky as he is, even got himself so much trauma because of other people's treatment of him.. but who knew Hart was also going through so much trauma himself.
Spoiler: the reason why he hates being lucky is because his family died in a car crash, but he managed to survive. He was left with the guilt of being the only one who lived and tried to take his life many times, but failed every time. He wanted to get with Jasper so that he could finally die and had told his aunt that he would atleast try to graduate (to please her)... which I can sadly relate to a lot.
I was not expecting to relate so much to a manga.. Hart always came off as aloof but he secretly held so much baggage. Really goes to show that people experience different things, and no matter how different your experience is, don't compare yours to theirs.
From the lying to those close to you, pretending you're all better now, to giving yourself a day to when you would execute your plan. I felt it so hard.
We later find out that Jasper was actually born lucky, whilst Hart was unlucky, but Jasper literally gave him all of his luck and forgot, hence became the opposite of what they were. It's such a sweet conclusion and I'm happy that Hart found his will and reason to keep living
When You're Targeted by the Bully
I'm so happy with how it ended. Especially knowing that the bitch is in juvie now. ASHTON AND ANNIE ARE SO CUTE TOGETHER, they bring out the best in one another. I do like a soft boi on the inside, dangerous on the outside. But I do feel bad for William... tho he lost his chance many times, and although he's my type at first, his personality is sometimes off-putting. I LOVE ZACK THO, HE CAN STEAL MY HEART ANYDAY. OH WAIT- HE HAS.
You can tell all the dudes like Annie in a romantic way, so it's a shame that none of them acted on it
Daytime Star
Read it on Webtoon, the translations are more accurate.
This manhwa brings me so much joy. It ends so well and I'm fully satisfied with how it came out. The progression, the conflict. Everything was on point. And the resolution was even better as we saw Yura and Seungyun grow! AND THEIR KIDS ARE ADORABLE AND SO ARE THEIR IN LAWS. So wholesome. I'm so happy with how it came out. And thank fuck that douche is I'm jail now. A GOLD DIGGER, TWO TIMER AND CONTROLLING FREAK??? NAH MAN
I CANT HELP NOT READING IT AGAIN. ITS JUST SO GOOD. Seunghyeon is the biggest green flag ever. He's low-key so perfect. He's a tease but always looks out for Yura and puts her first. He always respects her decision and doesn't discriminate. I love this author for making the women and men on the same level. The man doesn't let the woman do everything in the house, both roles do both things. Even Jinkyun and Gwangsu seem very happy because they both equally do their part and don't take the piss. I also like Seunghyun's comment about "it doesn't matter if they love each other" when speaking about becoming in-laws with InSeo's children. He truly is such a green flag. Always looking out for Yura.
Yura is such a sweet soul. She's been through a lot. And I enjoyed watching her grow (twice). She deserves all the happiness in the world after what that dick put her through...
I will be eaten!
