The Invicible Princess Is Bored Again Today
Characters:
Helena
Caesar
Leonardo
Noe
Yulica
Empress Dowager
It was so good with so much potential, but it's a shame that a lot of points were skipped over. Probably from lack of time?? I know someone also said the author is sick, but it's unfortunate..
I really like Helena as a heroine. She was a completely different type of ruler in her time, but was reborn to live a life she couldn't enjoy previously, but she uses her past experience to work her way through this lifetime. But I'm a little disappointed that we couldn't see too much of her prowess, other than during the extermination mission and I guess during their sparring. And I'm annoyed that they didn't touch upon how she was suddenly reborn. She never told anyone??? And why keep mentioning that she liked Erez but not elaborate more? Clearly they had something going on, but I had hoped this would be a point to be mentioned in the currently timeline.
Caesar is kinda.. just there?? He ended up being a pretty boring man after he got crowned. He didn't have much opportunity to shine after that. It just seemed like after he was crowned, he became a useless doll of a character. How was he just gonna fully marry Yulica without questioning Helena, nothing. They made it seem like Helena and Caesar had been separated for a while, but it was resolved in the span of two chapters. It left no room for there to be tension. It just solved itself so quickly. And how did he manage to heal from the poison? If it was so easy to heal from it, why did he just let it fester until after they caught the dowager? He's just meh.
I hold no qualms with Leonardo. He's just a really cool doting brother. I wish there was more about him after he grew up, rather than just mentioning him randomly rising in ranks. I wanna see a future for him..
I really thought there would be more to Yulica. I know she was naive and easily taken advantage of and is in constant pressure because she's the crown princess to be, but they also kept mentioning how she's learning magic. I was hoping that they would use her knowledge for the final fight or something; but literally there was nothing. She really did end up being just naive and silly... when she desperately wanted to speak to Helena (before being interrupted by the fact the tea was poisoned) I would have hoped she had found out really important information about Noe or something, but we never touched upon that. And although she was free in the end and got disowned by her family, I had hoped there was something more. But no.
How is the final fight gonna be over in a few pages after it was built up so much. The dragon. Noe appearing. The Empress Dowager working with Noe. Helena shot one arrow and it all ended like that. Who was that subconscious? Why did Helena feel the need to kill it? Was it meant to be a trip created by the dark magic- that if she takes on this other power, she'll succum to evil? But it was never elaborated. It literally ended then and there. Also, how did the King just die suddenly? It was never mentioned how he died? Did the Empress Dowager kill him? But that wouldn't have done anything for her position. Did he literally just die suddenly?
Why did Noe keep hostage of Dante's body when they didn't even use it to summon the dragon in the end?? It would make sense of Dante was sacrificed rather than a random person because she's claimed to have sealed the dragon inside her body. Why did he resurrect Dante afterwards? Why was he searching for Helena? His character was built up so much only for him to die so quickly after killing Empress Dowager...
There's too many questions and it's so disappointing that they'll never be answered....
The Villain's Savior
His life is so sad and it's only 2 chapters in..... I just wanna hug him and give him the love he truly deserves, not fake love HMPH
I reread it and binged it, so everything makes more sense now. But it's still so jumbled. I feel like they were just adding random plot points that don't add or mean anything. In summary of the story, Elzay (original) read a story about the suffering of Aseph where he must endure a hard upbringing. Feeling sympathetic and pitying him, she manifested being in the story so that she could cure him of his misfortunes. Elissa, the sister of Elzay, was the girl that Aseph loved but because of the mark, she is linked with the crown prince, hence he was doomed again. Although Elzay also had a mark, she was willing to forget it and live in constant agony, but still be with Aseph. TURNS OUT Aseph is meant to be with Elzay, it was just the Aseph was being punished from a previous life (the story's original plot) for selling his soul to a demon. So he was doomed to relive his life and suffer every time, as a result. Elzay was always meant to be his destined partner, but his seal was kept away so that they would be forced to think they were never meant to be. But Elzay pushed through- entering the cycle that was his life's tragedy and putting herself at danger to break the cycle.
The Emperor is the man that killed Aseph's mother simply because she resembled his previous wife, Silvia. But Silvia had a crest that made her leave, which he ends up killing her. Silvia is the mother of the prince. And he took a liking to Sophia who was Aseph's mother, so he ordered for her to be sold to him, hence her leaving for many months, then she comes back to the house where Aseph was abused by his father who was struck with grief for losing his wife and childhood friend to the Emperor. He begins he life of suffering when the Emperor burns down Aseph's home which was starting to become good again.
At the end, by sacrificing himself to save Elzay, he redeemed himself for his past actions and was cleansed of the curse that the goddess placed on him. He was always meant to be her fated partner...
What I don't understand tho is, why was the original book written? And why did Elzay suddenly become a character? I know the book is meant to depict Aseph's horrible upbringing and his sad demise but capitalizing on his lack of fated partner, doomed to forever suffer while loving Elissa- but Elzay was never a character in the book. Was it written with the intention of the REAL Elzay (Korean) to read it in her reincarnated life just so she could come save his soul??? Idk. It's a bit messy. But it was still a good read. It was so impactful at the start, but it got kinda bland near the end
