I liked the story. I liked the execution. I loved the characters.
I do question what Elise did in her previous Elise life to warrant being killed, however. They just say she's a trouble maker, but did that warrant her being killed by Linden? From all the flashbacks, it just seemed like she was loving of him and stayed by his side for 6 years of marriage, but he simply didn't feel the same. So I wonder what she actually did, that she had to be reborn and become a doctor just to rid of her past sins. But what sins???

It also seemed like maybe he DID like Elise in the first life, but just wasn't ready to open his heart because of his revenge?? But still doesn't explain why he killed her later.
Finally a Duke who isn't "cold and distant Duke of the North". Bro is just a loving father :')
