This is just my two cents but I think he made him the link to torture him since they feel agonising pain if their blood is not sucked and the chapter says "there has never been a problem until until now since there has never been a vampire that never sucked their links blood" which could mean our hottie seme never sucked the link blood which means the blondie is desperate but idk yet
