This is honestly a decent depiction of the kind of things abusive partners do in real life. They do enough sweet things that you love them and make excuses for the abusive parts and try to make you completely dependent on them so you feel like you can't leave.

I don't love tragedy but this ending just felt cheap. He should've died, this kind of loophole type thing just feels like a cop out so there can be a happy ending. I think it would've been more beautiful if he died and they had to accept that reality.

Y'all think about this fr... the only reason the other gang started getting violent was BECAUSE Asuka started visiting. Before they were just taking a fee from their restaurant, so from Ao's perspective, even though he saved him, this whole situation would never have happened had it not been for Asuka. Regardless of what his intentions were, something horrible happened to Ao's family because of Asuka's presence. Any person regardless of how mature they are would be upset by this. Especially when you are IN the moment. There wouldn't have been a need for violence had Asuka minded his business. Not saying he's wrong because his intention was to help, just cause y'all are tearing my boy Ao up in these comments.
