Glasses guy (manager) fell in love with this impossibly beautiful person. When he's injuired, he becomes the indispensable one, the one the model needs. He uses this to become his lover and supporter. This means they are tied now by need, sex, and debt/money. The panels where he talks about how he "did it on impulse" and hopes he's not in pain afterwards--while clearly referring superficially to the sex--indicate that this was also his state of mind and he was the assailant. Driven crazy (again, hinted at at the end). He wanted the model to himself. He destroyed the beauty that obsessed him, but at the same time, it became the wounds that bound them together. The model can't go outside, can't look at himself, and now is utterly dependent on this guy.
