I was sad af when I first read this shit, but now that I've reread this, I finally realised some. Not all, some. Like I'm gucci with Bum dying in the End, they both did their promise owo, like remember when Sangwoo said to Bum that if he dies, Bum should die too? Welp, that's the first and last promise they made(Like uhh did fok they granted?? They uhh just that she). I mean, if he didn't die, he'll suffer too owo, trying to remember him, thinking it's his fault, Bitch-ass Sangwoo can haunt him too (Like what his mother was doing with him when he was still alive) I'd rather wish him death than see him suffer from this shit sksjosnsiwnsisnisnwpb..

But had Bum not encountered the thing with the medicine yes they would still be together, but they still would never have a happy ending. They were both unstable, sangwoo far more than Bum. At least Bum showed many moments of awareness and lucidity, but he was more blinded by his obsession of being with Sangwoo. Sangwoo on the other hand was becoming more and more crazy by the second and losing any last bit of functionality he had in him. Like at some point he would do something so insane they would both still be dead and or in prison. I dont think either of them had any chance of redemption. And I only find it fitting that they died.
