A little AU I thought of to pass time while waiting for season 2 is Evil!Na-kyum (kinda weird I know but hear me out)
Knowing myself and my tendency to ramble I'll try to make it short. Basically in this AU the smirk Jihwa "saw" Na-kyum make isn't his imagination.
Some differences I thought of already (this idea is pretty new so I don't have a lot):
- Na-kyum isn't inoccent and naive as in cannon although still has a blind admiration towards Inhun
- He notices Seungho's interest in him pretty early on but decides to ignore it as he's more interested in Inhun. The early parts of the story remain pretty much the same, exept Na-kyum is aware of Seungho's curiosity towards him.
- When Jihwa comes to NK and starts accusing him of seducing SH he isn't faced with tears like in cannon, instead NK calmly explains again and again what happened. The painter's disinterest in the accusation confuses Jihwa and he asks NK why he is so calm. NK says that his heart belongs to someone else and that he isn't interested in the likes of SH. This angers Jihwa and he goes to hit NK but SH stops him (the rest proceeds like in cannon)
I've already started rambling but the confrontation between IH and NK and the drunk sex that NK has with SH remain mostly the same and so does everything up to the point where NK realizes that he didn't have sex with IH, but with SH. NK feels robbed of the one thing he's been saving for so long and he decides to rob SH of something important to him too.
And everything after that is more or less the same, exept NK is trying to figure out something near and dear to SH so he can take it away, just like SH did. During SH's brother's visit NK realizes that SH miight have some family issues and that SH might value him more than NK expected (SH made NK sleep with him after the brother left). After the he's left heartbroken by Inhun instead of begging SH to take him out of desparation (like in cannon) he also does it to test if SH really values him as much as he thinks (two birds with one stone, you know). When Jihwa sees them doing it he sees NK smile, but it's actually genuine because his theory was proven true.
And yeah that's about it, it got pretty fanfictiony and long even though I was trying to keep it short, but oh well anything to keep me busy during the wait.
