I liked star the best here, or like he was so cute and was the one with the most personality—esp when he's determined to do something. I think the story could've improved more, eg mc teaching rai about human things—like getting a job, studying at college, or being a housewife, instead of just being locked up at home.
God, I love this author so much. Both Rumspringa and Dear Gene resonated with me so much.
As for the reason why Trevor and Gene didnt contact each other, it may be due to the plot of lil Gene who'd reunite them, and also due to the subtext. They mightve mutually decided to break up and not contact each other bc Trevor wants Gene, who was still young, to discover the world and carve his own path. They both want each other to move on. Since Karen didnt talk about Trevor at all when contacting him, they probably dont know if both still loved each other or have a significant other. In the end, they still both love and cherish each other very much and its obvious howd it end. Theyd be more than lovers, theyd also be friends and family. Which is a really an amazing open ending.
Hopefully, thered be other Rumspringa stories bc I just love this concept a lot. Maybe for lil Gene or another Rumspringa kiddo. Also hope that Theo and Oz would meet them too, since Theo and Gene know each other.
note to others: stop at chapter 55 or 56. unless you want a crappily written toxic mess afterwards.
Spoiler Long rant: I love this manhwa from the start until chapter 57, in which everything went downhill. Yul frickin confined, raped, and attempted to strangle Woo, meanwhile during that time Woo doesnt even think about the abuse but wishing to save Yoon and thinking about his love for Yul. Then it just got swept all under the rug. Yul even has the gall to go back to Woo's life, with Woo not even having trauma or despising what he did. But then the writer decided to save Yoon from the mental hospital (without mc needing to stay away from Yoon and Yul and be on advertising), so wth is the point of that detainment crap since it solved anyways. Yoon appeared again for forced drama sake, had all those crap befall on him with no resolution, and then just disappeared bc he isnt needed anymore. Also, I think black haired girl knows Yul and Woo's relationship, like wtf didnt they ask or know what happened to Woo and Yul. Yul then continues to act smug and doesn't show remorse at all. Urrggh.
I really enjoyed the story and the characters from the start until up to this crap. Couldnt hate the characters since that part was just laughably bad. I'll just pretend that it didnt exist ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~ since I really liked the three. Yes, remove that trash from my memory.

Just a thought, with how 'Haruki' was said by Yoshiki to be a chick imprinting his mother, it made sense that Unuki-sama could've formed from abortions or the dead souls of unborn babies. Like he loves Yoshiki no doubt and seem pure, other than killings and stuff. When Haruki died he was carrying a head. When he slipped he made a wish to Unuki-sama to protect Yoshiki. Maybe that's why 'Haruki' is also protecting him. Tho I'm not sure what that white thing, wherein he wasn't aware, was. Maybe it was the spirits he has consumed awakening bc he weakened?
In that one panel on chap 24, one wooden head looked like Yoshiki's wtf. maybe it was his ancestor or smth?
I really love the concept about this and the plot was good, just that everything happened too fast, and it couldve gotten more impact if it was slower (like more chaps) and more detailed ig.
