Got to chap 5 and I decided to stop there. It’s quite baffling to see this abandonment thing brushed off and then basically losing her whole family and having her life erased passed as comedy I don’t get it’ I’m not connecting with the tone of the story. Matter of fact her interactions with the dad looks like the typical FL vs Asshole ML premises in so many stories and I don’t like it as a romantic plot device so even less in a family setting....

But will things be revealed so quickly?. Kinda wish she didn’t make so many mistakes early on. The footsteps, following that « familiar » figure, showing her skills right away so close to the place where the familiar figure was and now the exposed injury. Hopefully she’ll get away with it.
I need to talk to authors and ask why must they also bring in a superior 2nd male lead. Why must they hurt us so? Why must we read the story wondering what if ? Cry
How is everyone shipping them?Foreceful, violent, arrogant and obnoxious just doesn’t do it for me. As a rule of thumbs I imagine that it was an ugly character behaving like that.... everyone would be like omg he’s trash blabla but since he’s hot it becomes attractive just how does that work lol.
I'm guessing it's your first time here? He's literally the basic ML in EVERY comic now. Abusive, but hawt! That's why he's being shipped with her by so many. Abusive hot bad boy = hubby material in today's world for reasons I've yet to personally comprehend. Though, from spoilers I've read he isn't the ML, so we're safe from that sickening cliché at least.
I’ve seen that type around but usually the comments agree that it’s an annoying trash of ML the reactions here really baffles me! Like not just one or two but all of them and for what, manhandling her and showing he’s a rude asshole.
It reminded me of reading Chinese transmigration novels from novelupdates and seeing people cheering at how cute the ML is when he acts obsessive, stalkerish and abusive.
I agree such an ML is trash, but I think people are shipping them because Ren is only so hateful towards 'Veronica' because he hates her, and 'Veronica' was also purposely adding oil to the fire. I believe Ren wouldn't be a trash towards someone he loves.
I would really love it if Ren finds out that she's a fake and instead of going ballistic on her, he becomes her ally to bring down the Duke instead. They would make a great power couple. (≧▽≦)
That could be it I guess. From what I recall in the first timeline he blackmailed her when he found out she was a fake this time a round he may catch a case of omg you’re not like other girl you have my interest and etc...
It doesn’t even feel like twisted and toxic like but just jealousy? That he can’t be his true self like Bau and maybe also jealous of how attractive Bau is so je wants to make sure to keep him “in his place”. Make him feel miserable and powerless because he’s a “noble” and Bau isn’t and that’s the only thing he feels he has over him. Must piss him off to know Bau has a lover and is just living happily so he wants to destroy that. I wonder if they have a backstory these two ....
