I’m fascinated with how many shoujo MC fall in love after a random act of kindness. It’s literally “oh let me hold the door for you” and then “badum badum”... okay I’m exaggerating but still it’s quite fascinating and sometimes seem superficial to me but it often in occurs in situation where no one else is intervening. The whole crowd just watching silently or looking away while someone is in distress. In such an usually indifferent environment it makes sense that a stranger being bold and kind and helpful look impressive and like a dashing hero. Anyway my random comment of the day.
I didn’t expected to find a boy version of Anne with E lol but this is sooooo amazing ! It’s so entertaining! James is so lovely! I got worried for a sec but he rose above all the younger seme who can’t help but force themselves on the older uke to get their feelings across, they assault and then cry about it and it’s all forgiven. Hall of fame for James who never lost sight of his love for Henry and so he couldn’t bear to hurt him.
From what I understand of this kind of trope is that mmm all the background story serves as obstacles to their love. Like it really follows the love conquers all idea yikes. Like usually you have I dunno family backgrounds, other characters, like random things to serve the plot to make it harder for the two characters to get together. But for some authors it’s too simple they need to make the ML a littéral piece of shit who hurt the MC multiple times oh and rape is literally their cherry on top. Like I’ve seen that in many stories wondering why it wasn’t about the MC getting revenge and ending up with someone better (like Eden). And then I got it. And well I’d like to sit down twitch them authors to see if they are doing okay in their lives cause that shit is siiick.
I mean I don’t understand why everyone is so against the sister and asking her to fuck off like I mean it’s still her boyfriend. Like shouldn’t Liu ye break up with her first. Also I mean I guess love can be selfish but is he not worried about damaging the twins relationship with his actions. I guess Zinan should be the one more mindful of that. Especially since his sister sacrificed so much for him and is still providing for him while he’s all I love him I can’t help him. (She really raised a spoiled brat lol). That bartender advice had me laugh lol, sounds like an anthem for all the mistresses and side chicks in the world though I don’t disagree it’s up to the person to choose who they want to be with but then is there any need for cheating? Just break up and be with the one u truly love like is it that hard. I know she doesn’t truly like him but the problem is that none of them knows that. All Zinan knows is that “Liu Ye” doesn’t like the sis and that’s enough for him. Like it’s so twisted and yeah the sister seems to have a unhealthy obsession with her brother which is explained by that flashback where as a kid she had to be strong for both of them and just pushed aside her own happiness, her whole life to devote herself to him. She was probably too young to have to handle such burdens and it messed her up on top of losing her parents. Still I don’t get why so much hate for her. I’m happy to have her around so the happy cheating couple can confront their behavior and own up to it, that’s the tea I’m here for,
Yeah I know that part is messed up about him not breaking it off with her cause he doesn’t know she doesn’t actually have feelings for him. But people probably don’t like her probably cause she is very manipulative cause she has to know everything about her brother or she looks like she is about to get berserk and how when they were walking she looked like she was about to push him in the street but he had said sorry or something. Idk I just think it’s cause (she is an interesting character) but she is a little fucked up one lol
amen! we all know the sister is kinda psycho, but THEY don't know that. Up to this point she really hasn't actually done anything to anyone (we see her LOOK like she's gonna push her bro into the street but she doesn't actually do that), yet she gets tons of hate and everyone wants to be all kyaaaa about the two male leads, but they are technically cheating on a girl that has yet to do anything that deserves it!
Mmm I totally get the weird af vibes from her ! I get that it’s worrisome but I don’t see her as the villain and I guess I don’t get why people are rooting for the couple and ready to gush about their love life. The couple is way more villainous Lolol. I’m not rooting for them I’m waiting to see how they justify themselves with the sis. Like my boy really went on a romantic getaway with his sis’ Boyfriend but she’s still taking care of him like wow. I feel like in the end he won’t ever have to learn to be independent he’ll go from being taken care of by his sis to being taken care of my his babe. I mean I just don’t see the appeal in their love story that’s why I’m glad the sis is here to add some spice. Though I hope she gets some help so she can move on and have her own life away from that self-centered and spoiled lil bro

I am already laughing thinking about what is to come. As someone who read the novel (well still reading it's not fully translated yet) I am here just because I love reading back on what happened previously and laughing again at all of it. Of course the manga skips a lot of stuff or simplify too much so it's not as savage and funny as the novel but it is still very amusing. I truly recommend the novel! To me, despite the age difference, it is one of the few novel where I feel like the MC and the ML are equals vs have the MC being superior to everyone else but with a ML that is like soooo much stronger and blahblah. Also I think they have a very wholesome relationship from the beginning, not stalkerish, or pushy/forceful and none of the tsundere stuff either. Anyway I just love this!

Agreed however I feel like this follow a common trope. Like it doesn’t come off as an intricate character with weaknesses and strengths but more like not following through with the original mmm I don’t know portrayal maybe? Like almost as if the author forgot what they portrayed the MC as originally as they go on with the story and bend the MC to fit the need of the plot. The disparity is too big that it feels off. Either way It’s totally fine and I may be wrong but it’s the impression it gives. That’s why I’m often disappointed when it happens. I feel like I was baited with false advertising lol.
