Mostly I do like it, cuz it looks more sexy. However I prefer when these are the more masculine characters, while the uke in the yaoi (especially when he's young) or girls, will have it shaved. A year or so ago, I didn't like that, but now I got used to that, and even like it (︶︿︶)＝凸   1 reply

Compared to all the people who answered before me - yes, my parents know. My mom is an artist, so she is open to this stuff. Also, she watches gay series and gay movies, and she also watched some good yaoi anime, but did not read yaoi manga. Moreover, to her personal project she draws gays! So like, when I began reading yaoi I felt a bit awkward ......   reply

Actually I got into yaoi because of a friend, who was into gay stuff. By then I was only a year or so into anime as a whole, but I knew that were gays and lesbians and others of not traditional orientation. I don't know what was my first yaoi, or how did I get to read it, but it surely was under the influence of that friend, who was sending shoun......   reply
