I’ve read the novel, and I’m going to tell you now that the romance doesn’t affect the storyline. It’s just a sprinkle. If romance was one of the main focuses there would be a romance tag. It just gets better and better, from here. I don’t want to give spoilers, but I’ll just tell you now that she’s not annoying and she doesn’t follow the stupid tropes. The little romance does not ruin the story. (:
