hey for people who have read the novel. does dokja ever get strong enough to rival joohyuk? or does he still mainly stay relatively weaker than him?

It was hard to tell because there's a time when Dokja has much more advantage in power when it comes to YJH but he can't truly fight him because he didn't want to hurt him. In combat power, of course YJH is on lead. But when it comes to intelligence, Dokja is smarter.
But there's a scene when he punched YJH for the sake of a mission and the poor protagonist fainted because of it.

i hate how these stories always paint the ml as such a horrible and disgusting human beings with no remorse and then go around a say “jk lolz” and give them those redemption period like for fucks sake can we get a story where the fl doesn’t not forgive them and shiii i don’t know maybe they become the empress instead i fw that more.
i’m still gonna read though cause i’m curious how they gonna try to let the ml redeem himself.
this is pretty good. for anyone else who’s interested in sports/soccer themes Bluelock is a hella good soccer manga. it’s like survival games but make it soccer lol
add the hidden fantasy aura because you get that a lot there at bluelock
Ah, but its not really on par as the abilities in inazuma eleven. Bluelock just feel like kuroko no basuke probably? with all the zones and emperor eye going on
AAAAAAHHHHHHH--- Thanks so much for the rec! I've had Bluelock on my to-read list for ages, so I think I'll actually pick it up now thanks to you. Sports manga is a tough nut to follow as a reader...they tend to be one/two out of three things: 1. They suck for the various usual reasons (Like, I enjoyed Eyeshield 21, watched it 2 or 3 times...but it stays pretty shallow and everything is predictable to an extreme) 2. They've been ongoing for foreevveerrrr (Hajime no Ippo, Giant Killing, Tennis no oujisama franchise, etc., looking atchu) 3. Or they're forced to/end up rushing the ending/just fucking killing the story, making us all despair and scarred for life (Like...they SAY The Breaker franchise is gonna continue...). Haikyuu!! is really kinda an outlier for its finished status and for the majority of its fans being legitimately happy with the story upon its completion...hopefully it'll be a trendsetter...but probably noooot ╥﹏╥
