Hey so I just started on this webtoon last night so wondering if I have missed something. M From chapter 20 to about chapter 30, it sometimes feels like pages are missing here and there..? If anyone has access to the official English translation, can you help me confirm? I will definitely purchase the chapters from tappytoon if that is the case.
Other than that, this webtoon started out quite average and full of cliches, but it definitely got better in season 2 and 3! I’m so happy that author avoided the stereotype relationship when one is in control and the other is submissive; seriously, Haebom is absolutely adorable and confident in their relationship it’s sooooo refreshing. I had hoped for more drama from their family, they sure had it easy with the mother :p hope to see the other friends appear in ss3 too! Thank you so much, translators, uploaders, for sharing with us your hard work and labour <3

The first time I read this manga, I was a bit lost on the story telling - it was kinda hard to follow at times, and the emotions and actions from MCs contradict a lot. I thought it was simply bad plot. However, thanks to Ayame's sexiness (lmao) i keep going back for reread, then more reread when I found the raw, and today suddenly everything faals into place. It clicked. There are important hints about the nature of their relationship that I wish author had talked about more clearly, instead of subtly hinted (and sometimes it's hard to tell from the art. This is a long post and I apologize in advance.

1. Shuu didn't hate Ayame one bit
This manga sorts of draw them as a hater-become-lover thing; however, here http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/hanagara_tsumi/mdx/d_v-1-chapter-1/20/ Shuu's POV is very clear about how he thinks of Ayame. "He disappeared from my life, and there was nothing to fill his place." He thought he was bullied because Ayame teased him and violated his personal space a lot - he was clearly annoyed around Ayame, but once that person are gone, his life became so boring and empty. I found it puzzling during my first read, because all the major flashbacks seem to show an annoying but kind and considerate Ayame, who encouraged and supported Shuu when he was down. I believe this kindness drew him in, and Shuu must have been so lonely being left behind he turned that loneliness into resentment and chose to believe that his life becomes hellish because of Ayame's (disappearance, not bullying, but Shuu simply fuses them together).
2. Shuu was aware of his attraction to Ayama all along
Here comes the bit that I wish I hadn't missed - the jacket. This very jacket http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/hanagara_tsumi/mdx/d_v-1-chapter-1/19/ that Ayama left to Shuu after his graduation. The only proof that he had ever been in his life. Obviously Shuu kept that jacket with him even after graduating university and moving to the city ( http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/hanagara_tsumi/mdx/d_v-1-chapter-1/24/). This monologue in chapter 4 ( http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/hanagara_tsumi/mdx/d_v-1-chapter-4/10/) reveals that he was bothered by why he has been holding onto Ayame's jacket, and came to term with the understanding that he must be attracted to Ayame as an omega to an alpha. After talking to Kaede-senpai about fated pair, he suspected that they are a fated pair ("the 'fated pair' Kaede-senpai talked about... I think I know what that is" http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/hanagara_tsumi/mdx/d_v-1-chapter-2/34/) and tested with Ayame's clothing the time he stayed over in chapter 2 ( http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/hanagara_tsumi/mdx/d_v-1-chapter-2/35/). This part BLEW MY MIND when I finally figured it out (lol), during my first read I didn't recognize the jacket story and therefore was like "he must be in heat that's why he looks horny, but that is such a weirdly minor detail that I don't understand why author was so focus on it". Long story short, Shuu became excited by the pheromones left on Ayame's clothes, theory confirmed. When he talked to Ayame about this topic (testing the water, I guess), Ayame clearly showed his annoyance so Shuu didn't pursue it any further.
3. Ayame is such a kind, loving soul ╥﹏╥
I don't think I need to elaborate on this. He was curt and blunt, that's why he was perceived as a "bad guy"; but he picked up and befriended a gloomy kid; he ate and talked with him, praised and encouraged him to realize his own merits. What he did to Shuu was wonderful, albeit a bit forcefully and could have been done more nicely. Ayame has never looked down on Shuu for being an omega even though he dislikes the pheromone thing for its terrifying nature (hell, if it were me, the thought that my action can be sabotaged by a nature force that I have no control over would be scary as f**k). So far all of their times together have been consensual, and when Ayame has the heat he tries his best to protect the other one. What a courteous act. He's so respectful, loving and gentle to Shuu.
4. The fragrance talk at the shrine in chapter 4
I am still figuring this; do you think the scent Ayame picked up is Shuu's? Or they were just innocently commenting on local trees?
tl;dr: THEY ARE HELPLESSLY ATTRACTED TO EACH OTHER BUT DUE TO THE AWKWARD NATURE OF THE RELATIONSHIP AND THEY ARE ALSO CONFUSED WHETHER THIS IS SIMPLY PHEROMONE REACTION OR IS IT GENUINE FEELING IT IS GONNA TAKE

until chapter 5 for the real progress we are waiting for (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

For the fragance part, I’m pretty sure that’s Shuu’s since Ayame said it himself that he should have realize it sooner. And Ayame seems to be the type of Alpha that doesn’t affect much by the Omega’s pheromones (he said so himself when Shuu’s had his first heat in highschool, and even Kaide mentioned sth like that when they talked together back when Shuu was drunken). So I think part of the reasons why he insists that he doesn’t believe in fated pair is because he can’t feel it from Shuu before.
May be the reason why he can only feel it now has something to do with the feeling that Shuu seems to gradually realize that he bears toward Ayame. It seems they have to like each other as themselves first for the fated pair pheromones theory to come into effect, rather than choosing their partner by pure instinct:?
Well, I’m just guessing, but I want to believe it though T.T

Hi there, I didn’t think anyone would read this wall of text and even reply! Thank you (▰˘◡˘▰)
Your theory sounds truly interesting and I like the consensual part of it; it seems more humane than the normal “fated pair” theory in most omegaverse. It’s like they are slowly coming to realise their feelings for each other, each in their own way, taking time to be sure of it instead of just jumping into the pairing thing.

Hello, I must be the one to thank you for reading that train of thoughts of mine, though it’s really messy now that I re-read it, considering I’m a bit sleepy when I wrote it earlier T.T
I can’t understand the raw one bit, so I don’t know what actually did happen, but I just think of that theory because Ayame seems to be unaffected by the pheromone at first (even Shuu’s) but from chapter 4 onward he’s so concious of it. And just as you say, I always think the fated pair in most of ABO manga makes love seems so shallow, so I would like to believe in a theory where they can gradually build up their relationship through real interaction and empathizing with each other:)

I was told this is a really good omegaverse story with adorable kid, so here I am. I don’t think the story is bad, character development is okay though it could have been better, but what’s with that rocket pace?? Was author forced to finish within 6 chapter or something? They spend 3 chapters about unnecessary side characters like the tiny girl and her policeman, or the player guy (Kaji?) - granted his appearance plays a role in the story, but it could have been done without wasting so many pages. And then the climax, with all of its potential: omega’s bottled up feelings in 3-4 years, the alpha’s realisation of how much he had missed out, the bonding between the father and the kid, all of that - BAM 10 pages, a few tears and we are done. What???
Not to mention how “fast” they fell in love with each other, from the omega’s side it’s acceptable that he sorted of falling for the ideal “prince”, but how about Haruomi? Can you really fall in love with someone while being drunk simply because they are “cute”, then get serious enough to propose marriage after an one night stand without any deep emotional exchange? My head hurts with just how things escalated... the romance just seems forced and unnatural.
And then that Juuji guy is simply weird... it’s okay if he is generous to support his cousin’s one night stand and his child without letting him know because the omega requested so, but he appears to genuinely care about their lives as a good friend. Then, he let them talk it out by dumping the omega at Haruomi’s house at night, without letting he know anything of the situation? What did he expect to happen? “I told him not to touch you” what kind of shit is that. So does he care or doesn’t he? I can’t tell anymore.
Also when Haruomi came over the next morning, he found Senri next to an indoor pond I repeat HE LET A 3-4 YEAR OLD CHILD PLAY ON ITS OWN RIGHT NEXT TO A BODY OF WATER I almost had a heart attack. I’m single and don’t even want kid but I’m decent enough to know that situation SCREAMS DANGER - how can someone entrusts their own child to his care???
There you go. End of my rant. Seriously Senri is the only good thing in this manga and I no longer trust random users’ recommendations anymore lol

well lets be honest mangaka probably was forced to finish bc its the standard length of mangas in japan.
there is honestly lack of logic in yaoi and everyone knows that.
its bc its so stupid its comical and funny.
this supposed to be a light read. like a pretty girl u see on insta, like her a bit and then u scroll down and forget about her.

It was recommended by several readers and when I see the 9* rating and read all the positive comments below, my expectation was high. So when it becomes an utter disappointment I kinda want to warn other serious readers like me. Beside that, the way author executed this manga is simply lazy, it’s not even about being stupid and illogic.
If anyone wants a stupidly cliche yet funny and sexy, quick paced story done right, check out Burlesque Night (I hope that is the correct name, not so sure lol).

I have read a few omegaverse stories and lemme just say this, the way this author tells story is simply bad. A cliche story can still be okay or even good when it’s executed nicely. And no, we shouldn’t all feel your way. I get it that our opinions are different, and I respect yours, so please refrain from dictating my opinion and how I should feel about this manga.

Why does each chapter seem to move so slow? Like, it finishes in a blink???
There are hugeeeeeee white spaces between frames! I guess it is intended to set a slow pace for the story, or maybe author did it so that he doesn’t have to draw much for each chapter (haha sorry author...), but yeah that’s basically how a normally 3-5 pages of comic is stretched to the whole chapter. Btw I’m not complaining just sharing what I found ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I feel like its partly for aesthetics purposes. Also Chinese authors tend to drag their stories on and on, so don't expect them becoming couple any time soon.
My guess is also, that this is not authors only comic or only job so he probably can't spare much time like people working for lezhin for example.

I just read translator (Fantomeducouloir)’s comment below and decided to translate this page. Some text are not clear so bear with me.
Basically, Genji was remembering kissing Yoshimune passionately the night before, only to wake up and realize that it was just a dream in the morning. It’s gonna take years for us to be there, he thought. Yoshimune actively asking to kiss me must only happen in a dream, he thought.
Suddenly Yoshimune appeared in front of Genji teasing for a kiss? “Aaaaagh, this must be a dream again - if so then I will enjoy it while I can!” Said Genji, who went in and kiss Yoshimune until he passed out.
Genji then realized that was real! Not a dream! “Amazing”, he thought.
End of story.

... why is he so expressionless? Lol
His face never changes, whether he’s upset or happy he looks all the same. And the way author draws his eyes always slightly squinting makes him look like the poor guy needs glass prescription ASAP.
Now I’m looking forward to the day he finally shows some emotions. Hyesung is gonna be swept over
He does wear glasses and he's stoic. There are people like that you know
There’s no problem calling a stoic person stoic, right? I’m not bashing him.
