Okay…. Not to ruin the wholesomeness and everything
since pinky is the established bottom and black is the established top
blondy and browny should be the established switches
Sorry, it’s been a long time since I read it so I don’t quite remember. I remember it was just hinted at in a chapter that’s why I said “I think you missed it” cuz I remember it wasn’t explicitly said. But I might be wrong cuz it’s been a while since I’ve read this. And I might’ve even interpreted it wrong, I really can’t say without reading it again… ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
there were a few signs but the most evident is the bath scene when Xiao Hua was behind Dong Yun (with context). tbh, i am judging y’all for being a bit narrow-minded. while the author didn’t explicitly state their positions, i don’t think we should make judgement based solely on appearance and temperament or assume that the author is doing the same. or maybe you don’t mean that and it’s just your wording that’s throwing me off.
well, with that out of the way… in the ABO AU, at least, it is shown that they are vers. for context (since idk when someone will try to translate the AU), Xiao Hua is an alpha often mistaken as an omega. he and Dong Yun are married and preparing for a child. the doctor accesses both of them and states that Dong Yun is most suitable for a baby. since then, they’ve been trying hard (cough cough), with Dong Yun worrying that at this rate, he might get pregnant with triplets. he also never got to top again (according to the caption).
for fans of the second couple: Chun Lei (alpha) has a rut cycle in the office and is saved by the new intern Xiao Shi (beta). Chun Lei becomes pregnant from that one time and meets up with Xiao Shi to tell him the news, but to his surprise, Xiao Shi proposes that they should register to marry. Chun Lei rejects the offer because Xiao Shi is still young. when Chun Lei is struggling with pregnancy symptoms, Xiao Shi gives him snacks and his hoodie. he’s not sure if it would have the same effect as alpha and omega pheromones, but he hopes his scent will alleviate Chun Lei’s symptoms. the latest snippet shows Chun Lei emotional due to pregnancy hormones, with the caption: uncle crying, i (author) happy.
i see you're taking this seriously, maybe that's why my/our statements' putting you off. Even so, there are parts in here which are open to individual interpretation especially when the situations only "implies" whoever of them is who in bed. If the author did not explicitly show it, who are we to judge? Isnt it an implication that its open to the reader's interpretation. No offense but I respect your take. I will not hope you respect ours too cause i know full well as a reader, we have the right to interpret an open-ended scenario in this story.
Unless otherwise the author confirms, my interpretation on these characters remain the same.
i was assuming something negative when u said “i stick to what the author shows as seme and uke.” i interpreted it as you saying that due to stereotypes and that you’re putting words in the author’s mouth. and i did state in my reply that maybe that wasn’t your intention (“or maybe you don’t mean that and it’s just your wording that’s throwing me off”). based on your response, i did misinterpret your words. for that, i do apologize.
if i understand you correctly, i’m positive that we are arguing the same side of the coin. we are both saying that the story is up for interpretation… and in all fairness, i admit i do take things seriously and i can understand how that might look when i can’t tell the tone of the other person.
I appreciate the apology, though you dont need to. In these sites, its rare to have an equal exchange of rational thoughts (instead of personal opinions) but we both managed to do so, and i haven't realized that until i figured you were serious. unusual but i actually enjoyed this exchange.
And you're right, i do think every story ( or any other forms of art) is up for interpretation unless the writer/artist laid down the interpretations themselves. However, even if that's the case, we cant help the human mind to associate even a close-ended story to how our minds process it, hence, we might've still interpreted it differently. Nevertheless, a story is a story, and i feel that the freedom of every reader to interpret every piece of story ( with their own unique way of thinking) is what makes it meaningful right?

I mean I didn’t read the wn or ln so take it with a grain of salt if you read this but I just wished they wouldn’t put any romance if maomao had such an adverse reaction to Jinshi, he basically forced her to kiss him, at least I’m glad that it’s mainly focus on mysteries for now…. And if it’s changed in the manga adaptation, even better. Either go with mystery with sprinkles of friendly antics or sprinkles of MUTUAL feelings

Revisited this again… change of perspective y’know… got a little bit more mature… not rlly lololol
Anyways the ending…. at first I was still hungry for that bl shouten ai genre and so I was even tho I was happy that they ended up together I was still bitter about the lack of development…
Tho I’m still hungry for that genre (▰˘◡˘▰) anyways…
Ending was shit…. It should have been better they went on their separate ways… Touma, srsly dude, there’s plenty of guys out there WHY?!?!!! And how’d u turn gay, you can’t just do that, Cmon Taichi dude… AND LIKE SO ABRUPT!!!! ID LIKE TO FILE A COMPLAINT….. tho I can’t. So yeah, there was no reason for Taichi to end up with Touma and also they grew up together and the way I see it, they’re brothers…. (Now I also have a wide taste of bl but every story is different so anyhow). It might be their sense of emotional closeness that had them settle for each other… I DONT CARE AND I HOPE THE AUTHOR SHOULD HAVE STOPPED AT BEACH SCENE AND NO TIME SKIP cuz what the F was that. I say B*llsh*t… IT DIDNT MAKE ANYSENSEEEEE… This should have stayed as a shoujo manga instead cuz fuck that
The only ending I like (tho we didn’t get to see a lot of how that happened) is gurly’s and her husband they so cuteeee plus it’s realistic in the sense that you don’t always end up marrying your highschool sweetheart
Thanks for coming to Ted Talk ig( ̄∇ ̄")
