I think the point of him not having a name shows how he is a mob character and by the time we’re introduced to his name, his role will be over.
I think the author is doing it on purpose because even tho he's the MC he's considered as a mop character and most of the time we call this kind of character "the classmate of.." or "the brother of..".
So maybe to really embody the Mc as a mop character they didn't gave him a name. (Although I think he has a name but the author just didn't gave it) ╮(￣▽￣)╭
