Spoiler alert:
I don't necessarily ship the 2 MCs because i can't vision their budding relationship to be lovey-lovey. Because this manhwa isn't romance, i can't see Yoon doing romantic stuff for Nam if they ever get in a relationship. Tbh I don't see anything safe about their relationship, there's too many predators out there for Nam (like all the nobles Yoon practices sodomy with, Jihwa, and In-hun). Also, unless Yoon takes a complete change of character and scares everybody off and eventually falls in love with Nam and protects him properly. However, i do get excited when they get it on cuz it is hot, and no-one comes close.
I'm not really angry at Yoon for the non-consensual sex with Nam cuz i was quite familiar with his character in the beginning, and there's no point bitching when we all know he thinks with his dick instead of his brain.
Instead i only see Nam being Yoon's fave toy as he can get it up the fastest without foreplay, that's it. And i hope four-eyed bitch don't do anything in the future or he gon catch these hands. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭. What do y'all think??
Am i the only one who though when Ms.Shin said her type was someone younger, muscular and more puppy-like, i immediately thought Mr.lee for some reason. Just had a flashback of when mr.lee told Sunny to call him
"good boy~" and pat his head.
Also, i thought Mr'lee had had enough of Sunny and his 'acquaintances' and wanted to encounter Young 1 on 1.
I know i'm commenting down below a lot, but there's a lot of people vocalizing their 'fear' of Yoon, saying he's kinda scary but kind of get of the thrill beacuse he's a hot at the same time. A lot of people are also saying that although they're used to seeing the typical scary seme trope in yaoi it still thrills them. But i just don;t feel it at all. For some reason I can completely put my trust in Yoon in what he'll do next. His steps are always so well thought-off for me. Yes hes infamously known for his mood-swings, but there are a lot of things that the author leaves out for a purpose. At times we do see what Yoon is thinking but not all the time, sometimes we literally see elipses '...' in one speech bubble. He's hard to read but i think i've figures i'm out. I don't think he'll pull some stupid and unexpected in a while.
Author, prove me wrong. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
How old do you predict the characters to be??
Nam looks really young, but also looks like he can take care of himself, don;t know about his parents or any siblings he has, is also an alcoholic:
probably: LATE TEEN (17-19)
Yoon: The eldest out of his siblings and has inherited all wealth, is infamously known for his mood-swings and is quite popular; 26-29
In-hun (teacher): Old enough to teach Nam how to read and write. Seems and looks wise, is currently a teacher and writes poems too. Seems wise enough to know what he's doing. Giving me Yoon's older brother age vibes ~: 29-32 or so.
It hard to tell. Is there somewhere where it has there ages and baisc info or has it not been made canon yet. If not, what do y'all think. (▰˘◡˘▰)
The painter is 14-16
When Yoon was jerking Nam off, Nam kept pleading to let him go, and Yoon acting all sly said: I am letting you go there ~
What did he mean excatly? Can someone clarify... (▰˘◡˘▰)
I think it's more of how it's said in Asian languages instead of a bad translation.
For example I know that in japanese, 'let me come' will be 'ikasete kure' or 'ikasete kudasai' which also mean in a non sexual context 'let me go'.
So 'let me go' in is not a translation error but it can also mean 'let me come' when there is sex.
And Yoon did 'let him go'. He said 'I will let you go, NaKyum-ah!' The 'ah' in Korean is used when talking with someone you're intimate with and that's bad it was lost in translation. Yoon is surely sly with that.
Tl;dr: it means the same thing.
Yeah I think many people were thrown off by it because of the "there" part. For me English is my first language and it didn't seem correct because of how it was translated (I don't speak or read Korean). However when you read it in English it just seems very off and it is confusing. Maybe it wasn't a 'mistranslation' but something definitely did feel lost in translation though.
(and I know I'm not the only one who took that line in two different ways :/). Many people aren't going to know about the "ah" part in it because they don't translate it that way ;;
that's exactly what i was thinking. like: 'ikasete hoshii' means like let me come.
The translator should've let Nam say something like "can you let me come back to my room"
and Yoon reply: "I am letting you come..", I think that would be a better translation, as it seems more accurate to the motive the author was going for.
But yeah... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I downloaded the chapter from toonkor (one page at a time). You have to select images and load the pictures from your image gallery. It detects and you have to highlight the text to turn it into a text.
That's really fastidious. I read a chapter in 30~40 minutes but it's worth it. You get the gist of what is happening. The translation is not faithful but it's better than google translate at some point.
I have frequently expressed my abhorrence for Nam's teacher (In-Hun),
but how much of you genuinely like him or don't mind him?
I only like him in the stand-point that he helps develops the story and every story needs some sort of antagonist/ and he helped my baby to read and write.
I haven't seen ONE positive comment made about him so far... what do you think???
Why do you surprisingly like him as a character?
Hm, I suppose I don't really like him because we already have had a few glimpses of his true nature. For one, he manipulates Na-kyum by forcing him to not paint (just because he doesn't like sodomy; so he can be seen as a bit of a homophobe). *And we can confirm Na-kyum is clearly gay so for him to even crush on his teacher is just a hard oof*
Sir In-hun is very selfish (all for self gain) in getting a government job and to be up there with the nobles. (He also thought it is a waste of time to even teach those kids how to read and write because they are low farmers). He also out up a front which automatically tells me he isn't trustworthy in any shape way or form. But that's just me.
While he hasn't technically done anything yet, he is clearly not a good guy.
Through the story revealed thus far, The Shady Teacher has been shown to be someone who sees himself as smarter than everyone else. A person whose "gifts" have not been appreciated. In the latest raws we already see how he deeply resents what Yoon has and compared it to himself. He think he is more worthy of Yoon's status than Yoon who is a vulgar sodomite.
The Painter's best source of income were those erotic pictures. As he said, "I painted those to survive". Did the teacher care or even bother to find out why Painter was making those? No. He was just like, "Eeeewwwww. Gross. Yaoi porn? Ugh. What's wrong with you?"
He clearly knows how much sway he has over the kid. Did he care that by shaming the kid out of painting the erotic he was essentially forcing the kid into severe poverty? Nope. Didn't seem to give two shits about that.
Again, he knows Yoon is a sodomite. He knows the kid paints Sodomy. Yet he still shames the kid out of painting when he clearly suspects that's why Yoon lets the kid lives there. Does he care at all about the consequences? Nope.
I understand his concern for the kid's welfare with Yoon around, but that doesn't seem to be what the teacher cares about at all. The teacher doesn't offer any solution or even try to understand the situation. He's just "Don't paint porn".
Um... are you that dumb? Can't you see what situation Yoon has the kid in? Like how can the Painter not paint for Yoon?
Teacher probably thinks he the smartest guy ever because he was the most educated in that rural village. His ego got inflated. But now that he's on Yoon's estate his education is mediocre at best. And smarts? Oh, he's playing with the big boys now.
So we jus not gon act like it was lowest-key Taesung for dating her, too, when he had his eyes on Beomiee this whole time... hmmmm... #-.-)
I don't him, but he has his due, no?
Yessss!!! He was like running away from his feeling without giving it a try first
I always asking those people who date other people when they clearly admIt they only love one person
