I think the ML (sorry not great with names) is playing house with the teacher. He doesn't actually like him, think that's clear as day with the vomitting and all. But he's pursuing him in the same way an immature teen pursues the first romantic advances they ever experienced, out of curiosity of what will happen next. Giving the other party the ideal answers. Obsessed with "am I doing things right?" Or "Is this the right answer?" All the stuff he does feels like something he read from the book or stuff he heard and seen. It's not what he actually feels. Because it's his first. He wants to get things right.
Though I do think his reactions during the well, sex, was real though. Again, goes in line with immature teen theory.
Weird to call him a teen I know, because he's not but, he acts like one. So new, and curious, yet so self absorbed and self righteous.
Even the whole cult thing aligns with it. I don't think he has an opinion of his own, and the system of the town was made from suggestions. Tweaked over time just to get it "right." Just a guess from how that, announcer guy looked at him for approval. He's like a punisher instead of, a leader so some people butter up to him for their opinions to be heard.

Also Seoan needs to stop hiding things, I know he's trying to protect Wowoon, but it's backfiring so badly. Both of them have this problem of pretending to be alright and trying to protect each other. They love each other too much, and that's wonderful, but don't have much faith nor trust for the other.
