Okay so I only remember the smallest part because I closed out the tab and lost it after deleting my history! So basically the this guy was being choked (like kink) by the other guy (I think hes blonde), but it turned out he was actually choking and could die. It is also in full colour (at least I believe it was). Sorry for such little info . . .

Any recommendations of yaoi with insane plots? I need something to really invest myself in. Just a really heavy plot. Something that I might have to read more than once. Thanks!!

Okay so, I have had a best friend for 4 years now. We are practically siblings at this point. I even call their parents mom and dad. I really want to tell them that I read manga (including 18+ stuffs), but I'm really scared what they will think of me. They are fine with LGBT stuff, they are actually gay, but I just dont know anymore. Among my friends I am the most conservative, I dont swear or even wear shorts in public (yeah it's that bad). They always want me to be honest, but I dont think they will be okay with me reading from a technically illegal website. They know I read yaoi type stuff, but not really. I always avoid going into detain and change the gender of characters when talking about a certain manga. I digress, I dont know what to do anymore. Help me. Anyone else gone through this?? What did you do?

Well- whenever I want to reveal something (like sensitive info), I reveal it in bits; meaning- when the timing feels chill or right, u tell them a hint of it, then reveal it with long intervals. This has worked for me, so u might want to try it. I've told my friend (who doesnt like yaoi), but she is chill about it.

    [Skip paragraphs for summary]
At first it started with questions if she likes yaoi or bl [Testing boundaries]. A few months later, I heard some friend talk about the infamous boku no pico; I said, I tried but didnt like it and we laughed it off. A few months later, I revealed how I read a romance story, she got curious, but I said that she might not like the genre cuz it involved a same sex couple [Testing boundaries].
A few months later, she revealed her interest in drag ppl (actual irl drag, not manga). I revealed how I saw a manga about ppl crossdressing and how I liked it [Common field found]. She opened up to me about her interests. A few months later, a topic about gay ppl came up; revealed how I know a bit of them [Hinting/opening up].
A few month later, a friend asked about the mangas we read and asked if we read bl; we were familiar with it [Opportunity/opening up].
A few weeks later, I asked if she reads bl, she said she tried but still not her preferred. I told her if she wants some recommendations, I can give her some [Opened up casually]

    TLDR.
Find ur boundaries; wonder if they r chill or prejudiced. Hint and reveal bits of info to make them open up a bit. Find common ground or something u can relate bl with, then hint how the situation is related (only a bit). Once they r chill or somewhat became accustomed to the topic, u can open up a bit as well. When the timing is right/chill atmosphere, u can casually open up (just an added layer of straightforwardness)

Well- that's just my take on it tho. It will depend on the person and the situation ur in ^^

From my experience.. I was 13 (I guess) when I started reading yaoi manga.. I kept it hidden from everyone even from my best friend.. I got to know a new otaku girl when I was 14.. I usually let my friends use my phone to see the anime pics I have since they're Otaku too.. Ofc I didn't have yaoi pics in obvious folders.. But I had some pics that looked like Shounen Ai (it wasn't that obvious.. Just 2 guys hugging each other in somewhat friendly way, but other Fujoshis will definitely realize it's Shounen Ai) that I forgot to transfer to the hidden folder.. So my 3 of my friends saw these pics.. 2 didn't even care about it.. But one waited for me after the other 2 were gone.. And she said to me "Do you know what yaoi is?".. I said "yeah I know, why are u asking?".. She said "Do u like it??".. I was so scared to say that I like it.. So I answered her by a question too.. I said "what about u? Do u like it?".. She said yes, so I confessed too.. And now we're best friends because she was brave enough to take that move.

The point of me telling you this.. Is to make sure that your friend like (or at least doesn't mind it) before you tell them.. It's the best way to guarantee nothing happens.

I did this with my childhood & best friend (since we were 9 yrs old).. I also felt that I wanted to tell her everything since we never hid anything from each other.. So I started with asking her about her opinion about LGBTQ.. she hated them at first.. She thought that people did what they did just to show off or such things.. So I talked to her and tried to make her understand that many of them were born this way (mentally or physically) and they can't do anything about it.. And some others got affected by the way they were raised, so not everyone chose that path like she thought.. Then I closed the topic. After a while she opened the topic herself.. She asked me about my opinion about lesbians.. She said she saw so many lesbians in her school so she wanted to know what I think about it.. I told her that I don't mind what other people do with their private life, and I don't hate it at all.. Then she said she doesn't mind them either but she doesn't like gays because she finds two guys kissing is a disgusting thing.. We talked a bit after that and we closed the topic.
So from what we talked I decided it's the best not to say anything to her.

ALWAYS make sure that your friend doesn't mind what u like before telling them anything.
I hope I was able to help u a little.
    Good Luck (=・ω・=)

So far I have only read Yoai where the seme is rich and the uke is poor or the average citizen, never the other way around. Is there a Manwha out there where the uke is the one with money, power, or fame (or a combination of those) and the seme is just an average person?
