call me dramatic but it’s rlly of nice to see a kid acting like a kid in these types of manhwa, esp the kind that’s suppose to be “calculative” and “mature” in the future. too many times they give the kids like a weird hidden personality that is so smart and detached from the realities of a normal childhood and it makes me sad.
it’s just nice that there’s an even balance between those traits of him being mature and yk stil acting/getting be a kid rn
i’m sorry but is the ML dumb, why would he not realize who u are in this kind of situation ???? no one should/would ever be that gullible
i keep seeing comments about this having a ton of rape??? should i bother picking it up (i’m fine with it being included if it’s moreso implied and not sexualized or brushed off in the story & is actually relevant in moving the plot or for characterization)

Just re-read because I remembered I really fucked with the beginning of the story, but as it went on it just feels so evident the author got confused/troubled on what direction to take & had problems balancing the actual plot while also developing the romance, ESPECIALLY AFTER SEASON 2.
Not to say there are a plot holes necessarily, BUT I feel like there things that could’ve been developed better because everything just felt rushed and jammed in efforts of completing this in only 3 seasons. Honesty, I def think this would’ve been much better with longer seasons or a fourth one at that.
YKW Actually, (and call me crazy if this seems outlandish but) the author should’ve focused more on the romantic development and less on the outside conflicts with the bummy gangster and that one weird jealous co-star because by the time we got to the end and the ultimate resolution for the story I (personally) was just like “????” Cuz to me, if the romance was intended to be like THE finale and ending why not gear the story’s focus more toward that instead.

and it seems even the MC is aware he messed up so I’m even more confused by some comments. Some of yall gotta remember no one is owed forgiveness even if they apologize, and so if Pado doesn’t forgive him in this moment that is completely fine.

IDK if I read this wrong because I did just read this in ONE SINGLE SITTING, but I don’t like the ML at all and find his character to be very very annoying, not even creepy or scary just annoying (even before seeing the side stories which solidified it for me). I also feel no attachment to the MC, and it’s not like he’s bland but he didn’t really add anything to the story other than being the character that gets with the ML if that makes sense. Further, I’m also disappointed about that one side character got sidelined in the main story, especially when it feel it was for what I would consider rather weak romantic development as it felt rushed. Like extremely, at times I’d be like when did we jump from this to this??? and I had to go back and re-read to make sure I understood event sequences.
Honestly, what would’ve saved this for me is if the author spent more time on the actual characterization. Like the trauma of the ML or the side character’s experiences & the mc navigating as a person outside of it because that was the most compelling for me. However, sadly I think they just ain’t flesh it for the sake of the romance which makes me sad cuz this rlly does have potential in being a good coming-of-age BL manhwa╥﹏╥
sorry if this is unnecessarily negative. i think i just had v high expectations and then when i reached the end i was surprised it didn’t reach them so i think that’s why im criticizing so harshly, oof.

but from i’ve gotten, the manhwa is omitting certain details to paint certain characters in ways that r not truly representative of their novel counterparts and as a result it’s creating more drama than what was originally intended/written in the book?

so the early reviews were fucking liars (started when it had around 8 chapters), cuz why were ppl saying the uke is dumb and becomes weak; def one of the smarter ones and UNDERSTANDS THE CONCEPT OF COMMUNICATION AND ITS WORKING.
