this might actually be one of the most infuriating things i’ve read in a while.
like sisyphus with the boulder i persevered hoping to make it to some point where it would get good and pay off, but they just kept repeating essentially the same characters interaction between Cass and all the different male love interests over and over and over and over and over again. and every time you might feel the tiniest bit invested in a plotline, a character or her relationship with a character they have to jump to the next mediocre plot point and scene instead of wrapping up and exploring anything previously brought up. also?? how repetitive can you be genuinely. every time a new male character with some importance gets introduced we get some random, never previously hinted at flashback to how she did actually know him before and how they already got a pre-established relationship/friendship that motivates primarily their interest in and affection for her but also her’s for them. instead of actually showing any character development on screen everything is TOLD to you. i’m sorry i simply don’t care for a dynamic between characters that is seemingly forced upon me and which’s only basis is alluded to having happened off-screen. e.g. siegmund. we have gotten flashbacks of her mentor a couple times before, truly why not just add a bit about him too before we actually meet him? i still think all of the flashbacks are a very clear sign of a lack of actual writing skills but this way he would at least come out of NOWHERE. same with the old lady from the most recent chaps? she could have very easily been shown or at least mentioned in the very first chapters that talked about how they grew up a bit.
if the art for this weren’t good the reception of this would be way different imo
