I’ve been reading so many toxic BL’s that this man seems like a green forest, everyone in the comments needs to chill, sure ML is being a little manipulative but he’s also being honest to the MC, and you can tell he really likes him.

Same, sure he did hide a truth but he's honest about everything else. He tells his feelings straight and after he liled him even more he didn't even want to hide it anymore eveno tho he could and just told him. It's not that much different from real life mayve you screwed up a bit hode one thing and you didn't think it would be that big but now it's just weird to come out and tell but he did. I love when characters are honest about their feelings and he never lied about yhat or put him in dangers or whatever.

But I do agree with the fact some people are over exaggerating the ml's manipulations - but at the same time I do think the MC in the webtoon isn't removing himself from the relationship enough to see it more objectively, because is it really that alright to start a relationship like that (through lies and 'barriers (him telling me to be 'professional')) with someone you supposably liked for so long? It was very sus and Mc is honestly getting a little hopeless. It's not like the lie is a small one - if the ml liked MC so much to begin with, why couldn't he have deleted the account in the beginning, or at least put it on hiatus
nah the problem isn't him lying or anything, but that constant smug grin when the MC is genuinely upset and angry
if there's one thing I hate more than toxic seme, it's their smugness that's so uncalled for, it makes them so unlikable to me
