I don't know if it's just me but the way it is written/drawn makes it hard to get through without feeling like a drag.
I rlly like isekai where a person who isn't the main character is from the “normal” world but the aunt doesn't have much depth apart from being an eccentric modern lady and giving ideas for the main character (who like- does everything perfectly first time. No trial or error with ingredients, materials and method even if the aunt only gives basic explanations or a drawing- two chapters max). Also acting like typical isekai characters about future events etc.
Well thinking about it, no one in this manga has any depth or development l with all of them having the personality of wet tissue.ther characters and world also lack any sort of charm that makes it memorable.
Mostly just to say that it doesn't feel like there's a single thought going through anyone’s mind at a given time unless it is explicitly shown or told. Like for example the mc saying at the beginning “I don't know if I like the ml” and then a couple chapters later her says she does to him. Uhm that came out of nowhere.
Don't get me started on the ml and him constantly asking the mc to get married to him but also him barely being in the story to develop said romance. How am I supposed to root for them both? Use the time when the mc is mindlessly making clothes or things for no reason other then to show how cool and smart she is-
Do I feel weird about the fact that she is trying to be independent from her family just because of a red flag that her aunt, who in her pov suddenly change and turned 180, told her that she would become an evil villianess?? Maybe, maybe I do. I get feeling guilty for thinking ill of her baby brother as a child and how that could develop but also wouldn’t that just mean she's nicer to her brother and not completely disregard all societal norm of what she grew up on- even with the aunt’s 20th-century influence (only one person, how influence can she be). It is shown that she should be well versed on it since she told off the ml’s family and something about being higher is social status yet is confuse as to why commoners wont hire someone who is a noble. So is she ignorant or not??
I would say that the art is the only positive in this manga but sometimes that is up for debate... Am I going to keep reading? That's also up for debate. Peace out

Is it just me or is Kyochiro and Kai… a little fruity

(not saying they can't just be really close friends (nothin wrong with being platonic with your best mates) but like everyone else in the family has a person they're close with and obviously Kai and Kyochiro are the ones who read each other “like an open book” and before the had a whole argument on an interpretation of a book and bickered with each other… ending in both of them agreeing with the other’s previous point which leads to more bickering- which is the most emotion out of Kyochiro, other than him trying to kill Taiyo and protectiveness of Mutsumi. Also like whose the one who can calm Kyochiro in seconds??? Of course it's Kai.. I am so normal about them)

yeah I can see that, it’s pretty sweet whether or not they get together or not because honestly their bond seems important to both of them.
btw who do you match with each other’s favorite person, because there’s some overlap over who they’re close to more than others. Well besides the obvious like Taiyo and Mutsumi

omg can't believe someone asked me this question T^T I love an opportunity to rant.
There are definitely some bonds that I see more platonically than others, like Kengo and his teacher (because other than her and his famonly he doesn't really interact with other people ngl) and also Shion and Kenji (cute hacking buddies, Shion is nicer to him than other people outside of her family.)
The others are more ambiguous (can go either way) imo is Nanao and his middle school classmate Rinne (nothing much to say about this, they're just cute).
There's Shinzo and Ayaka, he's pretty comfortable with her, and after Ayaka becomes a maid at their house she's seen (before Timeskip) pretty much always helping him build weapons, so if I would ship anyone with him my choice would be Ayaka- both love the family (obviously she loves specifically Taiyo and Mutsumi, and I think out of everyone Shinzo is particularly protective of them as well for different reasons.)
The last sibling to talk about would be Futaba whom I match with Shura, her being the one to awaken Shura’s emotion- Fubata stopping her whenever her emotions sometimes leave her. Also Shura joining Futaba for the 5 years she was training at the hot spring.
I get it if you see this manga as weird and all that and not read it but really don't have to broadcast it to the whole world.
For one, no one is condoning the actions of any of the characters in the manga, maybe it’s just interesting to read a stories about morally complex characters- even if the moral is like pitch black.
Another thing about the Mc using the memory of the child version of the dude to masturbate. Did I like it, nope not at all but I’m pretty sure that’s just how he deals with his trauma, don’t think it has anything to do with pedophilia. Especially when all the actions of the child was drenched in violence and humiliation being made to the mc or someone else. Did the adult version give him any? Considering they’ve just had their reunion I doubt they’ve been in contact.
Also what does he do when a student who had issues with suicide come to him? Sleep with her. I don’t agree or think that any of his actions are right at all, in fact ew, but it does in my opinion solidify my conclusion on the reason for why he does what he does(even if in his mind he was taking advice from someone else). Of course there are multiple interpretations of his behaviour and I could be wrong but immediately categorising it as pedophilic and disgusting- and then shaming people who read it is just...
In my opinion if you don't like it you don't have to read it, no one is forcing you to. Especially when this is tagged with psychological, horror, and seinen all of which is a combination for a bad time so maybe read the tags even if a famous author (of a pretty fucked up manga) recommended it.
And for those who complained about it not having enough “Yaoi” even if it was tagged as such… I- stop complaining and go read the countless other manhwa or manga on this site. Speaking as someone who sometimes reads it as well, there's really no need to be complaining in the comment section. Its one thing to be unashamed and another to be tone-death.
