So after reading the recent chapter if you haven't. It says that after burning the entire garden. It seals itself to regrow it's flower again but it takes about 30 years for it to grow again. And luckily for them it's been 35 years so the flowers are grown again before it seal itself again for our fl.

Actually you're not entirety wrong. It's a plot that out of place, like they just inserted it to speed up the process of ML becoming emperor. If they want to take things slowly they could either introduce a great alchemist or cure that can be found elsewhere.

Yea.. I think he won't matter if she is anyway considering he fell for her since he first saw her but I'm guessing he is relief because later when he confess to Judith, he said that
1.he thinks everyone who knows him n Jonas would end up liking Jonas more, so maybe a feeling like he could never overcome her affection for Jonas if presumably that she is the mother and do the deeds with Jonas out of love or interest
2. So if she is not the mother he feels like the chance of her liking him would be higher than if she is, since she might not compare him to Jonas like others often do
