I have a different opinion.. For me if the family foundation is strong and they work together to keep and grow the company then the foundation would be stronger as they have strong belief that each and every plays a part in keeping the company going.. While fighting and sabotaging each other could also impact the company negatively..
The dad seem sus af.. Like he told his son to just sleep at the teacher house if he is sleepy? Feels like the dad has some kind of agreement with the teacher or something..
iirc the dad was planning to run as a politician (if it was his name that was mentioned since i suck at remembering names) before he got scammed right? and the piano teacher is rich—so maybe??

Pretty much what i was thinking thw whole time too!! Couldn't get these questions/thoughts out of my head while reading the first few chapters!! Came here to rant about what a shitty mom she was when there were clearly options available for her to have some form of contact w/ HER SON (who i assume she chose to have) but she just went no contact??? And left him w/ a scam of a funeral and a dangerous job?! (╬￣皿￣)凸
