I'm so glad that this is a happy ending, I think Sungyeon still remembers their past life that's why when he saw Hosik again he didn't waste any time and take Hosik by hook or by crook. He really loves Hosik to the point that he wishes to see him again in another life. This is such a happy ending indeed. They all deserved the happy ending, I'm also glad Hosik is happy and healthy as long as his family. I love all of them, especially Hosik. I hope there woul be more side stories if we have a chance hihi.

i'm thinking of... what if this side story is the real story of hosik and sungyeon, but hosik just imagines himself in a modern world with hoyeon and seungyeon as a family but in reality... no. We all know that the both of them doesn't love each other, they just love doing 'it' with each other, also Nakyum comes into realization where he realized that he is just a servant too, so he's really confused by the 'special' treatment that Seungho been giving him, and he realized it too why the other servant is angry with him. For Seungho, he doesn't like losing the 'power' to control Nakyum, he likes controlling Nakyum because he thinks highly of himself because he saw Nakyum only as a servant, a partner in bed and such, he's treating Nakyum in 'special' way because he is pleased that Nakyum doesn't try to run away anymore, because he knew Nakyum had nowhere to go, and that leads him more to control Nakyum, so their relationship is more of a 'give and take' than and romantic type of way. Seungho is giving Nakyum all of his living expenses while Nakyum is giving him the pleasure they both need as a man. Let's just stop romanticizing everything, we don't really know what's the catch in this story, besides they're meant to loathe each other to begin with. But I'm not saying we can stop shipping, their chemistry is just so wholesome. Let's just wait for them to be ya'know realized that they both need each other more than before. Okay I'm saying a lot of nonsense now, g'day everyone.
I partially disagree. Nakyum is definitely with Seungho out of self-interest right now. Inhun rejected him and he can’t go back to the prostitute house where he grew up. That part is true.
But Seungho is super in love with Nakyum. It’s not just that he’s providing all of Nakyum’s basic needs, but also HOW he is providing them. The tailored clothes, the mirror suitable for a noble woman, the expensive medicine, them sleeping in adjacent chambers, Nakyum wearing his robe, that’s how a person treats a romantic partner, not a servant, and all that special treatment happened well before Nakyum’s final runaway attempt. Since then, the special treatment has increased but it was always present. Nakyum has never been just a servant or sex partner to Seungho.
And while they both like having sex with each other, they’re having sex for two wildly different reasons. Seungho wants to have sex with Nakyum because he wants to hear Nakyum say all the “I pine for you sir” stuff again but directed at himself, not Inhun. Nakyum wants to have sex because he sees himself as Seungho’s prostitute. They perceive the situation very differently and lack the communication skills and vulnerability to talk about it (for now).
Seungho IS controlling, but I don’t think he’s upset about “losing power” over Nakyum. I think it’s the opposite: he’s upset because Seungho’s control is complete but it isn’t making Seungho happy. Nakyum lives with him, makes paintings, has sex with him whenever, and is totally dependent. Seungho got what he wanted. He should be happy, but he’s not. He’s flipping tables and smashing sake bottles.
Because even though he has Nakyum’s body, he doesn’t have his heart and that’s what Seungho genuinely wants. For Nakyum to genuinely love him back, he has able to choose Seungho. That means Nakyum’s going to need some power of his own and Seungho will need to let go a little. It will be interesting to watch.
