Lolol the comments are full of QUEENSI love that we're all on the same page that this manga is actually shit. I read this for the first time years ago. After rereading the story I don't know why the fuck I gave it 5 stars. The seme is a piece of shit who should have suffered more for what he pulled and the uke is pathetic for accepting him back.

I can barely stand it. And the mask only makes his reactions all the more adorable and endearing. I just want to eat him up!!!!

Their relationship is pretty smut-driven but at the same time it's just so FUCKING PURE. It's so unbearably sweet. I didn't expect to cry when reading this but I did. Tons. And when the seme started to cry = *cue dying whale sounds*

Side note: I love how they both got hotter two years later. It makes me love this even more!

Side side note: The girl who was originally crushing on the seme has the makings of becoming a fujoshi ;D

Idk why people seem to not have liked this very much because I thought it was fantastic. The story had endless amounts of misunderstandings, one sided feelings, and miscommunication but I think that was pretty realistic. Both characters are young innocent and naive and therefore are too afraid to actually do anything about their "taboo" feelings for each other because 1) the traumatic experience 2) they are both guys.

While I would have liked to see how the actual victim and his traumatic experience affecting his life overall be more elaborated, I actually like how they mainly focused on the friend. It shows that traumatic experiences don't just majorly impact the victim, but also people close to the victim as well. While I can't speak from experience, I find it very realistic that after a tramautic experience, loved ones of the victim tend to not always treat the victim the same anymore due to fear of triggering that person. This situation can be applied to the story. And because the childhood friend has romantic feelings for the victim, it's understandable why he'd feel guilty and therefore feel he must distance himself from his friend. Is it selfish? Sure. But like everyone else, he's human. Therefore his solution of avoiding his friend rather than just talking to him is probably what a lot of people would do if they were in his shoes.

I really enjoyed this because it's simply a slice of life love story that proved to have a more realistic and painful take on a shounen ai manga. Would definitely reread.

I originally wasn't going to say anything and I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this but I just have get it out there:

I'm so sick of people being so hypocritical about rape in this manga. Yeah rape is an unfortunate trope that appears in many, if not most, yaoi manga. However, it's not new. That being said, I have never seen a yaoi manga that has gotten this much crap over it. So many people are talking about how it's distasteful or lazy writing and that it completely ruined the story overall. Yet no one said shit about manga like Hidoku Shinaide where the couple's first few encounters were UNDENIABLY rape (yeah Maya apologizes later on but I'm talking about before he even did that. And even still rape is rape). Based on what others have been saying, HS follows the trend of rape turned fluffy. And even with the initial rape (also note this happened more than once) readers don't allow that to define their feelings and enjoyment for the story or couple. While I adore HS, I don't understand why when there's rape in the story it's just Maya being passionate; but in Dakaretai Otoko Ichii ni Odosarete Imasu, Junta is a rapist and rape is being romanticized.

I'm just saying that this trope happens so often in yaoi that I find it baffling that this is the one manga that so many people actually take issue with. It's like the only time people think something is rape when the victim literally has to say the word "rape" to make the situation actually rape.

Anyways, that was my frustrated and useless rant.

YEARS ago, rape was a VERY common trope in yaoi, and sorta still is, yaoi started out as very rape-y and psychological , yet no one said anything about it. if the story was cute it was cute, they just ignored the rape. i dont know why people start complaining about it now. it was rape years ago but no one said anything, and its still rape now. why didnt they say anything before? like i dont understand. all of a sudden people come and start hating on stories with rape and now suddenly, you jump in the same bandwagon and start spouting your hatred of rape, where were you before they came? i honestly dont care if there is rape in yaoi because i know reality from fiction but i absolutely hate people that come preaching about how much they hate rape, when they never said anything about it before. though i feel like most of the people that complain are the "new" / younger people that haven't been in the yaoi world since the beginning, when no one cared if there was rape.

Actually it has been started recently . There was this another manga where this whole thing was going on ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭. I have started nto ignore comments now as i don't nlike some comment but i can't do anything because it will start a fight ps its there opinions too . So i guess its better to thumbs down and avoid it (● ̄(エ) ̄●)

Well, there is at least one difference between this manga and Hidoku Shinaide: we weren't given a a flashback about how Maya was SO inlove with Nemu before the rape, that he just "had to" rape him the first chance he got... Besides, with Maya we're shown a rapist who's obviously a complete punk in need of a reality check (which he eventually gets) whereas Junta is shown as the sweet angel and most desirable man whose only flaw was to "love Takato too much". Bleh. I like rape fantasy the same as everyone but if an author tries to sell me that crap, they ruin the rape fantasy kink for me aside from it being complete bull...

    Layla March 25, 2017 8:53 am

But after all that I still love Maya (▰˘◡˘▰)

    Anonymous March 25, 2017 2:29 pm

People did complain about Maya but that fandom is much bigger and fans will shut down any conversation they deem negative. I'd go further and say they flat out won't let it happen. So it's easier to let it out on smaller manga. Same deal with Caste Heaven. The fans are insane.

Yeah I'm sick of it too...cause,how about us,extreme fujoshis?? ...I mean,I..a..extreme fujoshi have a kink for rapey stuff depends on the story and character design and I'm pretty much used to this shit ..I mean WTF!..don't they know how to separate real life and fiction..and yaoi is pretty much porn stories ..where the fuck did they came from?..when I was new at yaoi world before.. there's no one issuing shit like rape or whatever...TF is with them?...

It's not pure 100% porn, though. The best definition of "pure", good ol' traditional porn is that there's an absence of real emotional drama because it focuses mostly on the lust aspect and doesn't pretend to portray feelings realistically... Then you have stuff like 50 shades of grey, Twilight, and maga stories like this one that attempt to have the best of both (porn and emotional drama) with diverse and varying degrees of success.

i glad everyone who replied here has common sense, now a days those people that like the rape-kink/fantasies or dont care, get hate from the people that care too much and think that theyre endorsing rape. no one is endorsing anything, people know reality from fiction. if people like it leave them be, its not their business anyway.

Your opinion does matter April 2, 2017 12:12 pm

Yes, there are these many manga's that I've come accross that have so many hateful comments about the rape part and few of those was dropped by their translation group because they're receiving so much hate even in private message.
Like wtf is wrong with this people right? If they don't fucking like it they should read fucking shonenai. And yes, I think this people who are keep on commenting about the "rape" part are "new" to the genre. They're like kids whining about things that they think things are supposed to be which in this case didn't meet their criteria. Like buying a toy but the color is different so they throw tantrums. Fantasy and Reality has a large difference but to kids they mixed fantasy and reality that's what those people are doing. I started reading shonenai at the age of 8 and started reading yaoi at 12. I grow up reading this kind of trope and it hurts my heart how they think we fantasize rape, no we don't, just because you think killing stalking fantasize rape, well duh, it is not, read the thing again and understand it. We don't fantasize rape that's only because that's how you see it. 3D and 2D have different rules, if you know to distinguish it and separate them you might understand our point of view.

Can we all agree that Tourou no Ori legit needs an actor AU spin-off like ASAP?????????

Read the raws as well and let me tell ya... FOUR WORDS [SPOILER]:

SEX. IN. THE. CAR.

The upcoming chapters are all pretty steaming with sex scenes but I swear the author must have some sort of fetish with doing it in a car (whether its making out or a blow job or going all the way) because it happens A LOT. And they're... And Jaehae is so... excuse me while I implode...
