Nawwww, I think YOU’RE tarnishing the empire’s honour, Sovieshu, by being seduced—actually seduced—by a slave who doesn’t even have any redeeming qualities besides her pretty face. You accuse your wife of being seduced when she’s merely having a friendly conversation with an ally, while YOU are actually being seduced by a piece of trash and yet you don’t allow your wife, whom you barely pay any attention to, to talk to other men. Just saying, your wife talking with a man of equally high standing paints a much better image of the empire than you being wooed silly by a peasant girl with a pea-sized brain. Honestly, this empire is going to be done for when he and Trashta start ruling it alone.

I understand why she’s so conflicted. It’s like, should she listen to her heart or her head? Should she do what she knows is rational—leave him—to prevent him from getting hurt, or should she let her emotions lead her and allow herself to be embraced by his love? Let’s not forget that she’s a teenager (I think?) and that she’s not perfect, like so many other protagonists seem to be. She’s a bit demure and indecisive, but that’s okay because not every protagonist has to be confident or flawless and not every protagonist is able to ace every obstacle they face when they’re suddenly thrown into a novel. Just like Aseph is truly a villain, the depiction of Zay is unapologetically realistic, in my opinion.

Isn't the black haired dude the prince? Why doesn't Aria know him from her previous life?

In the previous life the prince has no power against the aristocrat party and he's very much like a puppet and under his fiancee's control. He couldnt do anything because he was frequently framed and the enemy keep on trying to destroy his name. Which makes him unable to hold his head high in front of his people. Since meeting aria he got a lot of help since aria is indeed knowledgeable and that helped the prince to evade some of the stuff that supposed to destroy the prince.
Yes, bring the fat old geezer to ruin! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
