To me it does not look like the guy cheated. The mom gone M.I.A (missing in action) the first place and never came back... to me looks like they had a divorce. And it had an open ending means its up to the viewers to imagine what happens next anyway 8/10 it kinda lacks substance but actually a good oneshot.
