Say what you will about the emperor, but I like him. Heâs kinda adorable. itâs not every time we need a testosterone filled guy with a third leg as MC. This is a nice change of pace. In any case, I just re-read the entire thing and he was actually looking manly and acting like more of a king in like the last 10 chapters. Idk what happened to the art style and recent chapters.
Also (no hate to lady Lyn) but fuck her feelings bro, Sang lan has to be put away. The poor concubine Nan-Yung got murdered. San lang has probably been brainwashed by that man backing up Lady Lyn, because thereâs no way she murdered a concubine and swears sheâs innocent, to the point that if we hadnât seen her entire scheme, weâd also think she was innocent. And swears sheâs doing it all for the sake of lady Lynn.

Thereâs nothing wrong with the art per se, itâs just they made him look/feel more younger and teenager-ish in these new chapters.
Check chapter 100, he felt and looked more grown and actually acted like an emperor in that chapter and the following ones.
But like you said, maybe they were just trying to express he innocent feelings for the empress through the art.

And the way they converse is also kinda odd, like no one really speaks like that other than that, this is a good story.
