Lariette's desperate situation doesn't take away from the fact that Ashram has suffered from a curse since childhood, has been neglected and shunned due to this curse for his entire life and is also the King's dog. Meaning he's the first to go to war and is always in danger of dying a horrible death on the battlefield. His staff are like his day ones. Many on his staff have watched him suffer for years. Lariette is a relative new comer and the staffs allegiance would obviously be for their Lord first because they saw him once again suffering from her leaving him. Just like our day ones would automatically side and suffer with us. (Unless yall dont have friends). Is Lariette wrong for how she went about EVERYTHING? Absolutely. Regardless of her own situation,
she lead Ashram on and had many chances to tell the truth. Her feelings were conflicted, but Ashram was all in for her. Her leaving with Doha wasn't a good look for her at all. Is she an irredeemable character? Not in the least. But just like how people feel male lead characters should suffer for their actions and treatment of a FL, the same rule applies here.
Should give this out as a handbook to the young men in their country to what women like. Maybe then, the birthrate will start to rise because they are in danger. Japan, also. They try to blame it soley on the work culture and financial reasons, but we all know that even in the poorest countries, rabbits will do what rabbits do. Educated women are just plain dissatisfied with men rn and Gen Z's arent playing.
Femdom was never really my thing, but I think I'm finally understanding why. Being a female with a dominant (strong) personality, I would never be attracted to a man who prefers to be submissive, because I want to be dominated. (Yeah, it sounds strange) Whereas a female who has more submissive traits or was forced to be submissive may prefer a submissive male to feel she has some sense of power or to reclaim her power. This female lead wants claim her power and independence due to having a suck ass family and he's wants to submit to her because that is his kink. Naturally because he is in a position of power being a Prince, he will always have to come across as powerful in the presence of others, but in her presence... he is free to be his true self. That's what makes this couple good for one another. Plus, he really seems to love her... though she is unaware and she is not in love with him...as of yet. In some long term couples I know, I've observed that the power dynamics between them tends to shift back and forth where one will love their mate more than their mate loves them and strangely...It works. The key to this is balance. Knowing when to take control and knowing when to yield. I like this female lead because while she is unsure and overwhelmed at times, she adjusts and adapts to the situation instead of running away.
Ver married the one best suited for her and as long as Blaine continues to love her more than she loves him, they'll have a happy marriage He knows how she is and accepts her. The Prince is im love woth the ideal of who he think she is, but doesnt really know her true character. The author did do the Crown Prince wrong though seeing as he stayed single until he died due to unrequited love/broken heart in that extra
I was genuinely loving this female lead until....
Girl, you have done EVERYTHING but have sex with Harry. All this has been witnessed by your staff. NOW that you found out this world is REAL, you wanna step back and say I's a lady, I can't be doing such things with you, Harry! Girl BYE. If you can act like this in a fake world, that means subconsciously this is your true personality and you miss are giving....D*CK TEASE. As a woman myself, women like this are some of the worse and it's giving mixed messages. There is absolutely nothing shameful about being affectionate with someone you like, but either own it or fully abstain until you are absolutely sure about your feelings. Rant over!
I give it a 8/10. It was a cute, quick and sweet story. I liked how attached and possessive of her he was, but not to the point where he totally took away her independence. I going to assume that she also continued practicing medicine after the birth of their first child. The smut wasn't overwhelming to the point of taking over the story (which I think is why I took a break from BL) She was shy, but not prude to the point where their intimate moments was off-putting. My main complaint I have with historical stories with heterosexual couples containing smut is that the stories tend to be (for the lack of words)... basic. It would be nice to get a story with a balance of an intriguing plot and passionate moments. They would be my ultimate power couple... lol
Doha is turning into a complete POS, but I don't feel bad and still can't forgive Rie for leading Asrahan on the way she did because she thought she was what?....going to die!?! Yes, well, she would've died like her brother had it not been for Doha, but forget Doha. A blind man can see how strongly attached Asrahan is to Rie. He isn't happy with her relationship with Doha, but still gave her space to live her life (with a watcher lol) She did the do with Asrahan and became even more affectionate towards him as time passed. She did all this, knowing that she was going to leave him behind. A man with his own personal traumas. I don't need Asrahan save her from Doha. ATP, I need to see a redemption arc with Rie begging for Asrahan's forgiveness for her selfish motives and for being a hypocrite. Regardless of her reasoning... she is SELFISH AF!
And I've been waiting over a year for some of the seasons of other stories there to update also. Perhaps the author is overwhelmed with deadlines to other stories.
The FL is incredibly dense at times and makes me want to throttle her... especially when she got found out by the husband and ML. She could've handled that situation like a boss (see as her husband already knows her wishes for a divorce) yet she chose instead to act like a child. At the same time, I totally understand why she wants to get out of her marriage and the fact that she feels powerless to make it happen.
The husband is wrong for using her for money AND neglecting her. Sir... you can't start feeling some type of way now that your wife doesn't want you. I just love when people have that.... I don't want you, but I don't want anyone else to have you... type of attitude. It's sooo attractive. (Eye rolls)
I'm not quite so sure if the husband is actually 'cheating' on his wife and/or if he's just simply being manipulated by Freya. No doubt that he's not in love with his wife, but there is something so weird about the relationship between him and his maid and the fact that this so called relationship seem to start exactly when the hisband was told to investigate the FL's father.
ML reminds me of the ML in The Princess Demands a Divorce.
I feel like I have been reading this 'love story' forever and now that things are finally coming to a peak I just saw that... there is a 2nd novel?!?! If that novel gets adapted also, I guess I might be committing another 3 years to that story. I don't know any details about the 2nd novel, but can the 2nd book really surpass having a ML like Jay and is it titled 'Pay It Forward'?
She is a 'dignified' and sensible character but she is weak when it comes to her loved ones. Her father, sister, and Damien. People are tired of the Cold Duke trope, but to understand Damien and Chloe's characters is to understand the time period this story is written in. To understand a cold Duke is to understand powerful men marry for not for love, but for the benefits of such an alliance. Damien gained nothing by marrying Chloe. Her family was neither wealthy nor powerful. She may have been the pawn to some of his schemes, but ultimately a marriage to her held no great benefits. To understand a cold Duke is to know the importance children are in marriages amongst nobles. Yet Damien chose to save Chloe over his unborn child. That was a defining moment which gave readers a glimpse of his true feelings for her. To understand a cold Duke is to understand with one wife seemingly dead, he could now find a wife more 'fitting' for his current level of now being an 'Emperor?' Damien went into an enemy country to get Chloe back. Chloe may not like Damien, but she also never stopped loving him. She just redirected those feelings. Is Damien an a-hole? Well of course he is. No doubt about that. Does he truly love Chloe? Yep, but his cold upbringing did not prepare him to actually fall in love nor how to treat that person. He can learn though (Which is the true purpose of these types of stories) Had Chloe received the emotional support she needed at the loss of her child (even if that support wasn't necessarily from Damien), this story would have went in a totally different direction, but then people still would have found a reason to be upset.
...I came here to see if people had the same idea of Jessica as I did and was not disappointed. Because how are Camilla and Jessica literally the split image of one another if dear ole daddy wasn't still out there planting his seed everywhere. I do understand amongst the rich and nobel class, arranged marriages are common and rarely their choice. Rarely (not always, but rarely) in history will you hear of a true love match when it comes to arranged marriages. I don't feel that women necessarily fell in love with their partner, but resolved themselves to their circumstances and tried to find as much happiness allowed OR they simply became bitter. The later would perfectly describe the wife of Camilla's father.
Us very much censored. I actually started reading there, but you can tell there are 'elements' missing from the story so I found it here. Definitely censored on Manta
Is there a way to put a stop to the bad transactions from being uploaded now that this heavenly sent person is uploading official translations? At this point, I'm willing to just wait and reread so I can finally understand this story
...translations make me wanna barf. I was reading on Webtoons but wanted to read ahead. I literally stopped reading and forgot about this webtoon because of the translations here turned me completely off and I was too impatient to wait for Webtoons. There should be some way to put a placeholder or something so these trash sites and their trash-lations aren't automatically updated here.
I understand why people are frustrated and/or mad. Granted that she is now in her sunken place due to past traumas and current betrayal that are constantly triggering her. Yet, Pen is literally being handed a helping hand to help get out of her situation (which many people don't get) and instead she's harshly slapping it away. What other choice does she really have now? Switching over to her father and brothers is impossible at this point. There is a good lesson to be learned here. To not put all of your eggs into one basket. Which is exactly what she did. Now that this happened, she has a choice to either sink or swim. Instead, she has lost all hope and is actively choosing to sink and wallow in her despair. I'm sure readers want her to keep fighting her way back to the top, especially because there is a hand reaching out towards her. You can empathize with one's situation while not being an enabler to their behavior. Personally I'm frustrated because of the way she is acting towards Callisto. She's trauma dumping on him when all he's trying to do is offer a helping hand. That's another lesson folks. Stop trauma dumping on innocent people.
....and now back to square one this story is taking us, I would not be surprised at all to find out that Celphi's real mom tried to kill him when he was an infant. She definitely gives off a bitter woman vibes.
At least give the young lady a chance to get acclimated with a p*nis first before smacking it up and flipping it like a pancake.
Isn't of hating a character because they aren't doing what I may think is right, I try to understand the complexities of the so called bad guy. Alexandros came into power through war and carnage and he has had to remain hardcore throughout his reign. OG Robellia is a green flag, but in the wrong type of story. In a different story, I would pair the OG Robellia with Norman. In this type of story, the new Robellia is the perfect match with the Emperor and the type of bad ass queen needed for this monarchy. One must remember that the marriage between OG Robellia and Alexandros was an arranged political marriage which was a norm at the time. Arranged marriages were rarely love matches. Many just gave in to their circumstances and found ways to endure. Alexandros may be seen as a cheater in some eyes, we don't even know if he actually ever had sex with Aisha. She seems as just another pawn who is there to help his reign be more legitimate. The new Robellia got sucked into the story and I don't blame her for wanting to get the heck outta there, but I also don't blame her for feeling tingles for Alexandros. SHE IS NOT THE OG ROBELLIA, but her own person who is experiencing 2nd hand emotions. I won't be upset at all when these two get together.
Love to finally have a female character who is assertive and isn't slut shamed. Male character was good, but a bit too green flag for me. It felt like he wasn't being his true self. He was doing everything just to please her with not much effort on her end. This gave the impression that their relationship was very uneven. He was desperate and she was desperately horney
