The FL frustrates me at times, yet I completely understand her standpoint. I think when we see parts of ourselves in a character, the things that character does will upset us because we want so much for that character to quickly overcome those obstacles and prevail.
Also... it's far between when I encounter an extremely complicated dark horse ML who also has a equal balance of good/bad traits that makes him so quickly likable for most readers. (I personally love reading stories about those stone cold ice Kings with questable morals) Both characters are so complicated and guarded, but the ML is far more honest with his feelings which is quite refreshing.
I am curious if the author is going to have Yi Jae reveal that she isn't actually Hailey. Her true identity does seems to be an ongoing issue for her because of her past and is a large part of why she is so guarded with the ML. This will continue to be a big obstacle for her feelings and I wonder how the author will resolve this. In most transmigration stories, the lead character accepts being someone else, there is a happy ending...the end.
My only regret...that I didn't wait for the Official translations to be updated before reading.

He wasn't looking for a mere wife. He was looking for a Queen and he knew he had found her. Many will hate how he went about it, but ....he was in a sense training Chloe for the life he had planned for them both. The fact that he did truly fall for her makes this story even better. I'll admit, this story is definitely not to the those who like a more traditional love story, but I personally love reading stories with a toxic red flag ML who's arrogant, but can also back it up with brains and brawn and can be weak when it comes to his lady love. Chloe is by no means simple minded nor weak either and she never let her disability to stop her. The fact that she was so brave to plan and actually leave him and for him to chase after her... had me loving every moment of their crazy... admittedly toxic love story.

TaeSeung is shook right now and doesn't know how to handle SooYoung. These feelings are taking TaeSeung out of his comfort zone as he is experiencing emotions that are foreign to him. Instead of working through them by talking to SooYoung, TaeSeung decided that it is easier to push SooYoung away. (I'm guilty of that myself ) TaeSeung may also feel a bit used right now. Can't blame him for that thought.
SooYoung is so focused on getting TaeSeung to open up and rely upon him, that he doesn't realize that he is actually relying upon TaeSeung even more. SooYoung is also pushing all of his overwhelming negative emotions onto TaeSeung due to his own insecurities. SooYoung doesn't want to be seen as the weaker partner, but as an equal in TaeSeung's eyes. He's beginning to realize what he's doing, but at this point... the damage is done.
No pointing fingers here. Both share equal blame.
This situation right now is nothing but angst for us readers, but also a good lesson towards why communicating with your partner is very important to maintain a healthy relationship. Well as healthy of a relationship these two can possibly have with the baggage they both have. Dont fret, all will be good at the end.

He got married out of duty, not for love. Even the Countess has acknowledged this fact and is why she is abusive towards Rolicia. Is he a coward for not protecting his daughter? Yes, but that was/is the way of the nobility. He could have easily ignored Rolicia's presence and never took her in. Instead, he chose to take her in and also educated her. She wears nice clothes and has more freedom than even her sister if you really think about it. While I would have preferred him giving her an inheritance and sending her off towards her own destiny...he also knows how intelligent his daughter truly is and knows she is strong enough to endure such a nasty Princess. The focus from the readers shouldn't be on the father or his incompetence, but on Rolicia and how her intelligence and inner strength will see her victorious against the odds. It is easy to allow one's emotions sway them into immediately disliking this story, but thinking logically is seemingly much harder for many readers who are missing the point entirely.

I don’t think that the story should be dropped because of the father. I do think that the father is useless tho. He cant control his own household.
I love a father daughter bond trope just as much as the next person but not all stories main focus is the family bond. It’s getting out and making your own way of life that was better than the past.

If the head of the house can't control and managed his household properly and appropriately–then he is an incompetent and do not deserve to the head of the house. In addition, the MC's description is contrary to her character. She was described as a smart one but there's really nothing that can support that claimed. This story has a strong introduction but unfortunately, it is written poorly.

Agreed. And honestly I don't know what I would have done in his shoes. If he shows concern then it makes the stepmonsters' behavior worse. And he can't go against his wife because she has a lot of financial and political backing. He has to maintain the status quo so that he can at least give his daughters a chance. And yes, the other one is a brat but that doesn't mean he should abandon her. He was fighting a losing battle from the get go. Everyone is plotting against him and he has no stable allies. So cut him some slack.

Interesting when the brother gets back, but the ML is truly a green flag, so her brother shouldn't be too upset. The ML's possessiveness in this situation comes across as wholesome and her forwardness and being sassy is more in line with how modern women tend to think and act. She wasn't waiting for him, but he was most certainly waiting for her, which is also a refreshing flip. I feel that when you find your 'person', communication becomes natural, and inhibitions easily fall away. This describes this couple and is a lesson the author is trying to convey (?) I'm pretty sure many readers are tired of the 'No, stop....we shouldn't do this' type of FL's. This may be labeled as smut, but slice of life can also be an accurate descriptor.
Mainly about sex, BUT I like that it does away with the stigma that pregnant women can't have an active sex life while pregnant. Truth be told, women can do alot of things while pregnant including being an athlete. There was a track and field athlete who competed and won with a belly heavy with a babe. What I don't enjoy is that there is an ongoing theme in these types of stories where the FL's tends to always say..No! Stop, don't...yes more during sex. Gives off a vibe that the females are always forced to have sex and aren't allowed to want and enjoy the act. Why would a woman want to have sex if she can't express her true feelings out loud. One could say that this couple is somewhat trauma bonding, but the ML is definitely becoming softer. The FL is not brave nor outspoken, but she is showing a tiny bit more confidence. Overall, this manhwa... while not thought provoking is still an enjoyable read.
