Interesting when the brother gets back, but the ML is truly a green flag, so her brother shouldn't be too upset. The ML's possessiveness in this situation comes across as wholesome and her forwardness and being sassy is more in line with how modern women tend to think and act. She wasn't waiting for him, but he was most certainly waiting for her, which is also a refreshing flip. I feel that when you find your 'person', communication becomes natural, and inhibitions easily fall away. This describes this couple and is a lesson the author is trying to convey (?) I'm pretty sure many readers are tired of the 'No, stop....we shouldn't do this' type of FL's. This may be labeled as smut, but slice of life can also be an accurate descriptor.
Lariette's desperate situation doesn't take away from the fact that Ashram has suffered from a curse since childhood, has been neglected and shunned due to this curse for his entire life and is also the King's dog. Meaning he's the first to go to war and is always in danger of dying a horrible death on the battlefield. His staff are like his day ones. Many on his staff have watched him suffer for years. Lariette is a relative new comer and the staffs allegiance would obviously be for their Lord first because they saw him once again suffering from her leaving him. Just like our day ones would automatically side and suffer with us. (Unless yall dont have friends). Is Lariette wrong for how she went about EVERYTHING? Absolutely. Regardless of her own situation,
she lead Ashram on and had many chances to tell the truth. Her feelings were conflicted, but Ashram was all in for her. Her leaving with Doha wasn't a good look for her at all. Is she an irredeemable character? Not in the least. But just like how people feel male lead characters should suffer for their actions and treatment of a FL, the same rule applies here.
No. If they actually care about him, they should've told asrahan straight, not by neglecting his guest like that. It's as if they want's lariette's situation to be dire and something bad happen to her (basically getting rid of her), so they don't need to come and tell asrahan eye-to-eye that they don't like her.
I don't like lariette, i think she's a dumb fl and almost droping this manhwa just because how she act (i even skip the ch where she run away up until when she almost died in the desert). But still, she doesn't deserve this from someone who owe a lot her. What they did is just ungrateful and evil, to both lariette and to asrahan.
Should give this out as a handbook to the young men in their country to what women like. Maybe then, the birthrate will start to rise because they are in danger. Japan, also. They try to blame it soley on the work culture and financial reasons, but we all know that even in the poorest countries, rabbits will do what rabbits do. Educated women are just plain dissatisfied with men rn and Gen Z's arent playing.
Femdom was never really my thing, but I think I'm finally understanding why. Being a female with a dominant (strong) personality, I would never be attracted to a man who prefers to be submissive, because I want to be dominated. (Yeah, it sounds strange) Whereas a female who has more submissive traits or was forced to be submissive may prefer a submissive male to feel she has some sense of power or to reclaim her power. This female lead wants claim her power and independence due to having a suck ass family and he's wants to submit to her because that is his kink. Naturally because he is in a position of power being a Prince, he will always have to come across as powerful in the presence of others, but in her presence... he is free to be his true self. That's what makes this couple good for one another. Plus, he really seems to love her... though she is unaware and she is not in love with him...as of yet. In some long term couples I know, I've observed that the power dynamics between them tends to shift back and forth where one will love their mate more than their mate loves them and strangely...It works. The key to this is balance. Knowing when to take control and knowing when to yield. I like this female lead because while she is unsure and overwhelmed at times, she adjusts and adapts to the situation instead of running away.
Ver married the one best suited for her and as long as Blaine continues to love her more than she loves him, they'll have a happy marriage He knows how she is and accepts her. The Prince is im love woth the ideal of who he think she is, but doesnt really know her true character. The author did do the Crown Prince wrong though seeing as he stayed single until he died due to unrequited love/broken heart in that extra
I was genuinely loving this female lead until....
Girl, you have done EVERYTHING but have sex with Harry. All this has been witnessed by your staff. NOW that you found out this world is REAL, you wanna step back and say I's a lady, I can't be doing such things with you, Harry! Girl BYE. If you can act like this in a fake world, that means subconsciously this is your true personality and you miss are giving....D*CK TEASE. As a woman myself, women like this are some of the worse and it's giving mixed messages. There is absolutely nothing shameful about being affectionate with someone you like, but either own it or fully abstain until you are absolutely sure about your feelings. Rant over!
I give it a 8/10. It was a cute, quick and sweet story. I liked how attached and possessive of her he was, but not to the point where he totally took away her independence. I going to assume that she also continued practicing medicine after the birth of their first child. The smut wasn't overwhelming to the point of taking over the story (which I think is why I took a break from BL) She was shy, but not prude to the point where their intimate moments was off-putting. My main complaint I have with historical stories with heterosexual couples containing smut is that the stories tend to be (for the lack of words)... basic. It would be nice to get a story with a balance of an intriguing plot and passionate moments. They would be my ultimate power couple... lol
Doha is turning into a complete POS, but I don't feel bad and still can't forgive Rie for leading Asrahan on the way she did because she thought she was what?....going to die!?! Yes, well, she would've died like her brother had it not been for Doha, but forget Doha. A blind man can see how strongly attached Asrahan is to Rie. He isn't happy with her relationship with Doha, but still gave her space to live her life (with a watcher lol) She did the do with Asrahan and became even more affectionate towards him as time passed. She did all this, knowing that she was going to leave him behind. A man with his own personal traumas. I don't need Asrahan save her from Doha. ATP, I need to see a redemption arc with Rie begging for Asrahan's forgiveness for her selfish motives and for being a hypocrite. Regardless of her reasoning... she is SELFISH AF!
And I've been waiting over a year for some of the seasons of other stories there to update also. Perhaps the author is overwhelmed with deadlines to other stories.
The FL is incredibly dense at times and makes me want to throttle her... especially when she got found out by the husband and ML. She could've handled that situation like a boss (see as her husband already knows her wishes for a divorce) yet she chose instead to act like a child. At the same time, I totally understand why she wants to get out of her marriage and the fact that she feels powerless to make it happen.
The husband is wrong for using her for money AND neglecting her. Sir... you can't start feeling some type of way now that your wife doesn't want you. I just love when people have that.... I don't want you, but I don't want anyone else to have you... type of attitude. It's sooo attractive. (Eye rolls)
I'm not quite so sure if the husband is actually 'cheating' on his wife and/or if he's just simply being manipulated by Freya. No doubt that he's not in love with his wife, but there is something so weird about the relationship between him and his maid and the fact that this so called relationship seem to start exactly when the hisband was told to investigate the FL's father.
ML reminds me of the ML in The Princess Demands a Divorce.
He got married out of duty, not for love. Even the Countess has acknowledged this fact and is why she is abusive towards Rolicia. Is he a coward for not protecting his daughter? Yes, but that was/is the way of the nobility. He could have easily ignored Rolicia's presence and never took her in. Instead, he chose to take her in and also educated her. She wears nice clothes and has more freedom than even her sister if you really think about it. While I would have preferred him giving her an inheritance and sending her off towards her own destiny...he also knows how intelligent his daughter truly is and knows she is strong enough to endure such a nasty Princess. The focus from the readers shouldn't be on the father or his incompetence, but on Rolicia and how her intelligence and inner strength will see her victorious against the odds. It is easy to allow one's emotions sway them into immediately disliking this story, but thinking logically is seemingly much harder for many readers who are missing the point entirely.
nah bro, 'thinking logically' he IS a sh*tty father, enough of your "erhm acChually tHat waS the wAy of noBiliTy"
Triggered much? I am not your bro. Your childish response basically proves my point that some readers have lost the plot or are not mature enough to understand it. The FL is a badass and this story is good. For people to say iM dRoPpInG tHiS cUz HeR dAd Is ShItTy is just...weird.
"you're excused, but I'm not your brah"
I don’t think that the story should be dropped because of the father. I do think that the father is useless tho. He cant control his own household.
I love a father daughter bond trope just as much as the next person but not all stories main focus is the family bond. It’s getting out and making your own way of life that was better than the past.
